This is the first time I’ve used these MILWAUKEE 6 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADES and it won’t be the last. First thing I noticed was these Milwaukee blades feel heavier and are a bit thicker than my old brand, which impressed me before I even attached it to the saw. I was cutting nailed studs, wood railings screwed to sheathing and 3 old water pipes in an older house and these blades certainly did the job really well and barely show any wear, other than the paint on one side was scratched. I will definitely get more use out of each of these blades than I did with my old brand. They cut easily through metal screws, the nails and metal pipe and went through the studs and wood rail like going through butter. I’m glad I tried these and will be purchasing these from now on.

These blades are truly engineered to cut fast. I filmed a short video of myself cutting 2 inch unistrut. These Nitrus blades went through in 5 seconds. It probably would have cut a second faster had I secured it better. With the factory closest to me shut down to Covid-19, I can’t compare it against others but I already know. These are the fastest, and smoothest cutting blades I have ever used.

These are very nice, high quality blades. I like the 12 inch size which gives you more ability to cut from a distance. I used the blades to cut old steel plumbing pipes out of a house. The blades made short work of cutting the pipe. At times the 12 inch length got in the way of cutting in tight spaces. Even though these blades are rated for metal cutting they can be used for wood, plastic, etc. if needed. I used one to make a wood cut and it worked great.

Have used it cut side walls out of tires, ball joints, hardened steel pins as well. Still have not replaced the blade. Very impressed with this blade.

If you need to cut thick metal, you need a proper blade. In 1977 I borrowed my uncle’s Sawzall and made short work of a 1950’s oil tank in the basement when I switched to gas ( I pumped the oil into my neighbor’s tank myself). I have a leaky cast iron radiator that I’m replacing and may have to make a few cuts. I tried out one of these blades on an old piece of cast iron and it cut into it fast and easily. In the past I cut a 4 inch waste pipe and attached a PVC assembly. I rented an iron cutting chain, and I think I’d do that again since it’s important that the plane of the cut is perpendicular to the pipe and I don’t think I have the skill to achieve that with this product.

I cannot say enough good things about this Milwaukee sawzall blade. The new carbide teeth really mean business! I use my sawzall for a lot of work around the house, yard and in the garage and this blade is a winner. I tested this blade on nails and some other smaller metal tasks and it performed well. Thick heavy steel is where this blade really shines, it’s cut like butter with hardly any force needed. Clean smooth cuts through a triple sleeved thick metal post that I had to cut up. After repeated cuts in thick metal it still seeems to have plenty of life left in it. This Milwaukee carbide will be my go to blade for thick metal. Highly recommend keeping one on hand.

Blade cut cast iron nicely

Beast of a saw blade. Only tested it out briefly, but it tore through ductile iron pipe no problem. It’s a heavy duty metal saw blade for sure. Seems like it will hold up over time. If you have some thick metal to cut through this should do the job. Depending on what type of metal you are cutting or how much, a band saw might be better suited. I would recommend this though.

The Milwaukee 9 inch, 7TPI torch nitrus carbide teeth metal sawzall saw blade Is a very aggressive blade.I used it to cut pie shaped cut-cuts on both ends of 4- 2×2 tubes which will be used as brackets under a trailer to carry loading ramps. The cutouts allowed me to bend both ends 90 degrees to the tube, which will now be welded. Since I don’t have a metal cutting band saw, the sawzall worked very well to make the cuts.Because of the blade’s wider kerf, the blade didn’t whip and bind like the standard sawzall blade.

I have long liked Milwaukee’s saw blades and this one is no exception. It is for cast iron and thick metal. I got these for cutting out cast iron tubs because in the past I have needed one but not had it. These blades are durable and you get a long of bang for your buck. I like to keep these on hand for whenever the need arises, you can depend on these to get you through the job.

Ok I really put this blade to the test and I think most people would be better served with a blade with more teeth to the inch – like Milwaukee Torch medium metal cutting blades. At 7 teeth to the inch these really are for thicker metals and are spec’d as such. I had to cut down some metal fence posts and while the 7 tpi went through the fence posts like butter in my corded Sawzall, the metal was a little thin for the 7 tpi blade and it would tend to grab. I was so impressed with the blades performance I decided to try the blade on piece of rebar using by 12 volt Milwaukee Hackzall. I have to say I was skeptical but this blade went through the rebar in just over a minute. Huge performance increase over traditional hack saw blades that seem to dull quickly and take forever. Well worth it – I’m sold.

This cutting blade is the one. When I saw the size and quality of the Milwaukee 12 IN. 7 TPI Torch Nitrus Carbide Reciprocating Saw Blade, I had to use it right away. I had large metal pieces that needed to be cut into smaller pieces. The blade cuts like a knife through butter. The additional 25% more Nitrus Carbide per tooth really makes the blade a cut above what I already have. The time it takes to cut through metal pieces is incredible. We’re talking about seconds. This blade has a 1/2 in. universal tang. So if you’re looking for the right cutting blade for virtually any job, Milwaukee 12 IN. Torch Nitrus Carbide is the blade. You will notice immediately how durable this blade is. It’s very strong and doesn’t bend out of control like other blades. It produces very clean and accurate cuts.

I have a metal fence Im building and figured I could use these on my cordless saws all. These blades work really well. They cut into the metal at full speed without a lot of jolting. With the carbide teeth, there are little to no sparks. Once it gets the initial cut started, it gut really fast. I was only cutting through 1/8 angle, so that is what I am basing my speed on.

These are my new favorite blades. I have cut old oilfield pipe, angle iron, and roll cage tubing. If you cut with a slow blade speed and use cutting oil the blades last for a long time compared to standard sawzall blades. Once the blades are starting to wear out for use on metal I save them for cutting roots covered in soil or sometimes still partially buried. I have removed a few stubborn tree stumps along my driveway and I was finally able to repair the hole one tree made so I can drive up to my garage again.

This review is for the 9 in. 7 TPI TORCH Nitrus Carbide Teeth Metal Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade. I always like to have an assortment of blades on hand for my saws so I thought I would order this reciprocating saw blade to have when I need a metal cutting blade. When I received the blade, I did not have any current projects going on so I decided to give it a try and cut a piece of cast iron pipe I had in my shop. I secured the pipe and gave it a try and this blade went through it with no difficulty. After I made the cut, I examined the blade and it appeared to still be in excellent condition. I haven’t cut a similar pipe with other blades so I can’t make a comparison but this blade did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this blade for your reciprocating saw needs.

Milwaukee is my go-to on hand tools and cordless tools as Milwaukee items are well made and quality. I occasionally need to cut metal with a reciprocating saw in areas and on material I cannot use or get a chop-saw or torch to. These Milwaukee sawzall blades are nitrous carbide designed for thick/hard metal such as cast iron and stainless steel. While I’ve only tested this on one piece of angle iron, the blade cut through with ease.

Milwaukee Carbide Metal Cutting blades six inch by 7 Teeth per inch for cast iron and other thick metals cuts more and cuts faster than traditional carbide teeth products on the market. These blades cut through black metal pipe as a regular blade would cut through wood. The blade delivers three times the life of existing carbide teeth reciprocating saw blades and hardly showed any wear after the trial cut. These have a universal tang so they can be used in all reciprocating saws. The TORCH SAWZALL cuts the thickest metals like cast iron and soil pipe, I cut 3/4 inch diameter. 72 inch long black steel pipe to make two three foot long clamps. The cut too less than ten seconds; took longer to set up than do the actual cut.

I’m a retired engineer, and I remember when the industry introduced a “Nitriding” heat treatment process for hydraulic cylinder rods. That was a case hardening process which diffuses nitrogen into the surface. It provided some degree of corrosion resistance, plus a very hard surface that was a couple thousands of an inch deep. I’m fairly certain this is the process Milwaukee is using on these blades. Typically, when we hear the word “carbide blades”, we expect to see hard carbide inserts brazed to the teeth. This is not how these blades are made. I suspect “Nitrus Carbide” is a marketing play on words. I’m not saying this is a poor application for this process. Actually, I think it’s a good process for these blades. Occasionally, I have bent Saws-all blades, and have been able to straighten them out with a couple plyers. I haven’t bent any of these yet, but I suspect they will have similar ductility (good). Blade thickness appears to be standard (approximately 0.060”). The only negative comment is marketing, calling this carbide.
