The MILWAUKEE 9 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE is a nice addition to my sawzall kit. I chose this product to see how it will perform when needed. I take my sawzall kit to the dirt track for needed immediate repairs if for any reason we have minor damage. I can just tell by looking at the durability of the blade that I feel it will outperform a standard sawzall blade. You can’t go wrong with Milwaukee products!!

This blade cut through a seized bolt like butter. Worth every penny.

These are very nice, high quality blades. I like the 12 inch size which gives you more ability to cut from a distance. I used the blades to cut old steel plumbing pipes out of a house. The blades made short work of cutting the pipe. At times the 12 inch length got in the way of cutting in tight spaces. Even though these blades are rated for metal cutting they can be used for wood, plastic, etc. if needed. I used one to make a wood cut and it worked great.

This is an amazing blade for cutting thick materials! The only issue I had with it was that the paint (it feels like some sort of powder-coat paint) is WAY too thick, and it doesn’t fit easily into the shank of my saws. An ordinary blade measures about .05″ thick (actually, 0.049″ on the one I measured), while the Nitrous carbide blade measures 0.069″ thick. I managed to work it into my Ryobi battery saw, but it took some doing. I will have to file or sand the paint down to get it to fit into my Porter-Cable Tigersaw – it just jams.So – once you thin the shank down so it will go into your saw, it really goes to town on thick metal. I did a test cut with this blade of a 1″ pipe with 1/4″ walls and one with a standard metal-cutting blade, and, as you can see from the pictures, it got through over twice as much material as a regular metal-cutting blade.

Not all reciprocating saw blades are created equally, and this particular saw blade is no exception. Finding a blade that will cut thru a specific heavy metal like cast iron has been very difficult. Most bi-metal blades might make a slight cut but shortly after you get started, the teeth are worn down by metals like cast iron and rebar. This Milwaukee blade is the exception. It blasted thru the job of cutting up a small truckload of iron railings that had been taking up space in my back garden. It was a “shaky” task, because the reciprocating saw dis need to have some force applied to get started, but once the cut was started, it steadily cut thru the hard metal like a hot knife thru butter, but in slow motion. If you are looking for a hardworking saw blade to cut thru cast iron, this is the one. And it comes in a pack of 3 blades. I only used one and the teeth on that blade are barely worn down.. Highly recommended!

I like the entire line of Milwaukee tools and accessories. Well made and commercial quality. This blade will not disappoint. It has an extra thick blade and made to withstand heavy sawzall use on thick metal (pipes, rebar, angle iron, etc). I tried it in my folding handheld sawzall blade tool (also from Milwaukee) and if fits perfectly (although due to the full length of this blade it won’t fold in, because it is designed for 6 inch blades). Know matter, I can use this in a pinch if I have to. Great product.

These blades cut metal that standard metal blades will not touch. However, they are pretty expensive. You might want to stop by the tool rental department first to see what they recommend. A rental might be cheaper or more appropriate depending on your application. On soft steel I couldn’t tell the different between these blades and my standard metal blades. I sacrificed a spare hardened steel wrench as a test. After 38 seconds, the Torch blades severed the wrench and the teeth still looked good as new. After 38 seconds my standard metal blades barely scratched the wrench and the teeth did not look good.I received these MILWAUKEE 9 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE (3-PACK) for free to write this review.

Great blade, able to cut through quarter inch steel without a problem. Still in good shape, should last a few more jobs.

Aggressive, durable, overall best blade available.

Really good blades. I’m use to using Diablo but these new milwaukee blades are definitely up there. I cut through galvanized steel and some really old cast iron pipe. Definitely got the job done and for the cast iron it definitely cut but it was a large diameter pipe so I had to use the longer blade. But these blades are definitely wreckers. The life of the blade holds up pretty good and so far I’m still on the first one. The carbide teeth are still there and feel pretty sharp. I literally cut through cast iron in a confined space with the fuel hackzall. It’s cut through every metal I’ve used it so far for. Definitely recommend it better it with the sawzall so control is better because the teeth have some serious bite.

The saw blade is a nice thick one. It has 7 TPI and is 9” long. Because it is made with cast iron, it has a longer life span than the regular ones. When I compare it to the saw blade that I have been using, I can really see the difference in thickness of this one so I know it is stronger. It has nitrus carbide on the blade. It is made in the USA. A good tool to have available for your reciprocating saw.

The heavy duty answer to cutting the harder metals or virtually anything that needs to be severed. Best use is for demolition or when rough cutting is adequate which is pretty much true for any application when using a reciprocating saw anyway. The price can be justified by their ruggedness to withstand the type of multiple cuts that would totally destroy ordinary blades.

The carbide teeth on these 6″ reciprocating saw blades are fantastic. With 7 teeth per inch (tpi) the had no issues cutting through 1/8″ wall 2″x1″ square 6061 aluminum for a project I am working on. I do recommend starting slow speed and get a cut line going before giving to much power as the teeth started sliding until I got a cut line started. These blades cut like hot knife through butter, the first cut was a bit rough as its been a while since using the recip saw, but the last 8 cuts were butter smooth cutting a 45 degree cut straight and with ease.

Awesome Stability on Cutting Surface. Milwaukee’s 6 inch 7 TPI Torch Nitrus Carbide Reciprocating Saws All Blades Are The Best I’ve Ever used on Heavy Metal. A Wide Blade that doesn’t Dance around on the material your cutting. Once it starts the cut it goes through like cutting butter. I cut through a old galvanized pipe and couldn’t believe how easy it cut through. Great Blades!

Good tough heavy-duty metal cutting blade. Used it on my cordless reciprocating saw to cut steel bar – sliced through like butter, with no sign of wear. It is a thick blade by most standards but works well to do the job. The total length is 9”, and the serrated (tooth) portion measures just a tad over 7” which is long enough to cut directly through both sides of the wall of a 4” diameter pipe. The blade thickness would seem to provide better stability for these longer cuts. The packaging suggests it will have a longer life expectancy than standard carbide blades, although I haven’t used this product long enough to judge that. It seems a tad pricey, but if remains durable (and sharp) through many cuts, it will be worth it. I would recommend this product.

This is a blade made by Milwaukee specifically for cutting 4″ cast iron pipe. On occasion I run into a job I have to cut cast iron waste line pipe and it is impossible to get a grinder around for cutting and this blade becomes a life saver because you can cut the whole pipe from 1 access point. The metal blades have increased in quality making shorter cutting time. I would recommend this blade.

I have a number of Milwaukee products which have performed exceptionally well and these saw blades are no exception. I had some plumbing work which needed to be done. I used this blade with my Milwaukee Sawzall to saw through the metal pipes and it cut very easily and quickly. I like the fact that it comes in a three pack so that I have some extras. I highly recommend these blades.

Had to cut up the body of a car. The blades worked well through all ares we had to cut. would purchase them again.

These blades are great. I got them mainly to cut some fairly thick metal fence posts, and they’ve been very effective; the phrase “hot knife through butter” comes to mind. I haven’t tried to cut anything heavier, but based on their performance so far, I have faith that they could handle it. They are a little pricey, but if you need to cut heavy gauge metal, these blades are well worth it.
