- Ordinary tips bounce or skate on the work piece fang tip bites into the wood on first contact

These worked good for me. I really was very hard on them and for the price I was pleased. I used them in my Makita saw to cut out the roots from my neighbors bamboo trees that are invading my yard and destroying my fence. Cutting in the sand and dirt made them wear much faster than normal but when I could just cut the root and not get into the sand they held up very well.
