I got this to go with my Milwaukee 2663 impact driver. The 2663 has the friction ring tip. Once you get this attachment on over the ring it has a lot of movement. I was just testing it out and wanted to take it off. This proved to be very difficult. The piece tends to come off half way when then pops the opposite side back down. I was amazed I couldnt get it off. The only way to remove it was to put the adapter in a bench vise and yank the tool out. The issue is that the interior of this adapter should have been better designed so that it properly compresses the friction ring at all points when removing it. If there is not full contact all around the ring won’t compress and that’s when you get this problem of the thing coming off half way and snapping back down. Sockets pop on and off the friction ring with no problem. Now I will feel like I can only use this sparingly since I know how hard it is to equip.

This is a great adapter for my 1/2″ cordless impact wrench, very smooth action. I had a Wera adapter before but it shattered using it in 20 degree weather.

Did exactly what I needed it to do. Needed more power than my 1/4 inch impact had to drive large lags with spline heads. This enabled me to use my 1/2 impact and the job was easily completed. Common sense needs to be used as using a 1/2 impact could do damage.

adapter is awesome but the only issue is it can be difficult to push the adapter all the way on and take it off.. requires some muscling to do.. my impact is a new ridgid gen5x and i have noticed new sockets are harder to get on also.. perhaps my wrench just needs broken in more but all in all definately good product.. i have heard similar brands like dewalt are rated up to 2000in lbs so i put mty ridgid on speed 2 as I dont want to break the adapter. wish they had a max in lb rating on this..

I bought this for my Makita XWT11Z Pin detent impact wrench. It is heavy duty made and it works perfectly for any “pin detent” impact wrenches. When attaching bits, make sure buy 2 inches bits because 1 inch will not lock or it will not be secured.
