A little pricey, BUT its really well made and sturdy so I can use my 1/4″ hex quick change bits on my 1/2″ tools like my impact wrenches or ratchets when I need a little extra twist on something. Saves me a lot of time on bit changes and increases range of use on my tools. Especially useful where my drill/driver runs out of its useful torque range and I can use a 330 ft lb or more impact tool to power in or out a tough holding connector using the same driver bit. Well worth the price and you only need just one so the cost is really moot. The bit will break long before this is even close to experiencing an issue, one of those tools you dont need often but when you do its the only thing that will work.

Not having the issues that previous reviewer had. This adapter works like a charm–Now I can drive 14″ log screws with my 1/2″ impact gun without batting an eye. Adapter mechanism for on/off & in/out work as I would have expected. I’m ordering another one.

Surprised there isnt more options for an adapter like this and surprised its not in stores. I used it to drive 4” tapcon phillips screws into slab with a 1/2 anvil impact. A couple complaints, it has a lot more slop compared to using a hex bit in a impact driver, you need to unlock to insert and release bits unlike quick change chucks, and occasionally it would fall off the tool after use. With a few design changes this could eliminate an extra tool for some users
