This appears to be an authentic Milwaukee battery which are hard to find. It takes and holds a charge. So far, so good. I gave it four out of five stars because they are crazy expensive.

The 2 V28 batteries that came originally with my hammer drill turned out to be junk! They had maddening issues with charging and overall longevity. So the jury is still out on whether the supposed new and improved M28 battery pack is better in the long run.

Excellent batteries. Have had the tool for 10 years plus. Heard a rumor they discontinued the 28v which is a disappointment cause it walks all over the 18.
