The Milwaukee ship auger bits have a new through center cutting design for improved life in nail-embedded wood. The flutes are coated, which produces a non-stick surface for fast and smooth chip ejection, especially in deep holes. The shanks are also impact rated for added durability and versatility no matter the trade. Ideal for electricians, plumbers, utilities and any trade requiring fast hole drilling in clean or nail-embedded wood.
- Steel construction for strength
- Induction-hardened tip provides nail durability
- Coated flutes for fast chip removal
- Impact-rated shank

Works well, quick, efficient, perfect for drilling holes for pulling wire.

Thought it would be a bit longer but it did ok for what I needed it to do. Doesn’t like a 3/8″ drill though couldn’t fingmd my 1/2″ utility drill.

Drills through 2x4s like nothing with my Milwaukee brushless compact drill, even in second gear! Great for an electrician!

I have a Milwaukee heavy duty adjustable angled hole saw. I use only Milwaukee auger bits and these new ones are different than my old ones. I like these new bits better because they don’t blow the back of a hole like the other ones did. These plow through the wood like it was butter and leave a clean hole on both sides of the lumber.

Works great. Drills easily with clean holes

The 7/16 hex is over kill for my purposes but it servers its purpose

These auger bits work great. They go through the wood like butter.

I like using the bit because it last a long time

High quality, as expected from Milwaukee. The shank is fits into a 7/16″ hex extension. This allows for greater flexibility when trying to find the correct length to clear obstructions, yet penetrate through the layers of wood. Going through top-plates (and bottom-plates) you never know where the framers put nails. Being able to blast through them without damage to the drill bit is key. The hole may not be as “clean” as the version with spurs, but this is meant for rough-in work, and not for Fine Woodworking. 😉

Works great. But it is Milwaukee and they all work great

Works great! This is the second one I have bought (*I lost the first one). I have used it for countless holes and it makes the job way easier!

Would be better if it was about 3/4-1” longer but works well.

Excellant ship auger bit, limited chip clearance at near max drilling depth so be careful to clear as needed to prevent binding. This is common with all auger type bits. Haven’ yet hit nails to comment on nail resistence.

Works like a charm! Pulls its way thru joists with little effort.

Perfect tool

It’s for a 1/2” chuck drill since it’s not on the package

great bit, works fast.

I used this to bore 100+ holes in 30+ wood post @ 4 in thick. It ate through the wood like a angry alien spices of termites. Its a awesome bit that will not let you down. My only recommendation to the purchaser. Have the correct torque and speed set for the job because this tool is a beast.

I have been using this auger bit in my new FUEL M-18 Hole Hawg, and I don’t even need to apply pressure on it to drill a perfect hole. This bit is strong and sharp, and literally cuts into the wood like butter (even with it full of nails). If you are in plumbing, HVAC or Electrical, this bit is going to save you a lot of time.
