Heavy-duty ship auger bits are for all types of construction. Precision machined for smooth, wobble free boring. Large, wide throat design gives excellent chip clearance from deep holes. Self feeding screw point, with one cutting edge and side lip for fast, rough boring in wood. Hardened cutting edges require less re-sharpening.
- Steel construction for strength
- Induction-hardened tip for added nail durability
- Coated flutes for fast chip removal
- Impact-rated shank

Great drill bit that gets the job done fast. I’ve hit multiple nails with it so far and still hasn’t reduces performance. Highly recommended.

Works great. But it is Milwaukee and they all work great

I like using the bit because it last a long time

Great quality. They last a long time compared to the others that we have used in the past.

Fast and precise

Would be better if it was about 3/4-1” longer but works well.

I used this auger bit to drill a hole in my subfloor to install a large screw to hold my newel posts. It’s a very well made bit. Hopefully I can use it again.

I have a Milwaukee heavy duty adjustable angled hole saw. I use only Milwaukee auger bits and these new ones are different than my old ones. I like these new bits better because they don’t blow the back of a hole like the other ones did. These plow through the wood like it was butter and leave a clean hole on both sides of the lumber.

Does the job well. Still eating through wood studs without a problem.

Works great, drills about 5 average sized homes before it wears out

Did the job I needed it to do

This is the best drill bit for plowing through 2x4s that I have found. Makes it effortless, even through a three board stack on a top plate.

Used it to drill over 100 holes in pressure treated lumber. I found it makes a rough entry so I used a forstner bit for the first 1/4″ instead. This drill will grab and pull easily through the wood. Leaves a clean exit. I was doing a project where I needed clean ends so using the combination of drill bits was necessary. However this drill bit is fast and saved me a ton of time and arm fatigue. Recommended over the blade bits which always seem to break and make a mess.

Excellant ship auger bit, limited chip clearance at near max drilling depth so be careful to clear as needed to prevent binding. This is common with all auger type bits. Haven’ yet hit nails to comment on nail resistence.

Yep it worked

Good clean cuts for the first 50 or so cuts. Not there is a bunch of windings left that are still attached to the studs, beans etc you are cutting through. Their longer versions do the same thing. Milwaukee’s ship augers (with replaceable blade) doesn’t have this problem.
