Don’t know what they at Milwaukee were thinking when they designed this set. If you have the Milwaukee superhawg with the quik chuk the 1/2″ bit is useless without an adapter also not available by Milwaukee. Your better off buying the competitors 1/2″ bit.

Awesome bag/wrap comes with these, and this is such a good price when they are 30$ plus each in stores your savings is amazing! Great tool to have for long holes in wood!

Well crafted. Nice case. Cuts thru wood like a hot knife thru butter.

I bought these Augurs to make holes on a tree stump.Used them with an M12 Milwaukee drill. These drills are large but cut the holes in the stump just like going through Butter, Used the slow speed(1) and a clutch setting of about 16 and it worked fine. Drill had to be put in reverse to back it out but it is great.

First Milwaukee product I’ve been unhappy with and I have a large arsenal! 2 of the 3 bits are 7/16″ and one is smaller. No where in the description can I find this listed and I assumed they were all the same, 7/16″, which is what I need for my holehawg Quicklok chuck. So with only 2 of the 3 bits useful, I wasted money.

Very aggressive, mated to a Bosch Bulldog it came close to tearing this 72 year old mans arm off.Go slow go easy and back out often. Of course I was using it on pine stumps.

This 3-piece Ship Auger Wood Drilling Bit Set by Milwaukee are great of bits to have handy. They came in very handy a few weeks ago when I installed a gas heating stove in our log cabin. The 18″ auger bit went through the 10 inch logs with no problem and leaving nice clean holes with fast chip removal. The shanks are hardened so you can use them with an impact wrench. They also can handle heavy torque applications The over all length of the bits is 19 inches. The set comes with a 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ diameter bit. These bits put spade bits to shame. They will drill a hole soooo much faster then any other type of drill bits. The set comes with a very nice canvas pouch to store them in. These bits are a beast, but a very outstanding beast! If you buy them you will not be sorry.

This is a really nice 3 piece auger set, they look very well made and come in a nice canvas roll up case that makes storage easy. You get a 1/2 inch 3/4 in. and 1 in. Made exclusively for use in wood even if there’s nails in it. The shanks are even strong enough that you can use them with your impact wrench. The 18 inch length makes them convenient for drilling deep holes or going thru any thick, sill plate, rafter, etc… They are sharp and cut quick and will help speed your day along…

Excellent Auger Bits – smooth and quick cuttingThese are excellent auger bits. They blow through 2x material incredibly quick and clear the debris so well that when you remove the bit the hole is clean. I got these mainly for drilling peg holes for timber joinery where the beams are thicker than most drill bits are long. I was able to use the 1/2″ and 3/4″ bits to drill through white oak along the grain. These cut through so quick and just kept eating through. I was not able to use the 1″ bit because my drill was not powerful enough. The self-feed portion would suck the bit through too fast for the drill to keep up with torque. I noticed very little run-out and wobble with these which I was impressed with given the length of the bits. The case is handy and keeps the bits protected. It’s super nice because I can wrap up the bits and put them in my 20″ Packout bag full of other bits and bit cases.

I needed a couple ship augers and saw this set, which is a quality set that performs well, was also a good deal. For less than the price of two bits purchased separately, you get three bits as well as a nice case to carry them around safely, which has room for additional bits if you add to your set.As far as performance I’ve used mine mainly for plumbing and electrical work. They easily drill through studs, plates, and other 2x and 1x lumber with ease and quickly, as well as the occasional nail, but make sure to use a low speed heavy duty drill.

I received my Milwaukee auger wood drilling bit set, they come with a nice roll up pouch for storage. My first job for them were to drill two holes through a 4×4 inch beam to install two coach lights on the front of a garage. It was a very tight spot in the attic and I needed the 18-inch length of the auger to reach the beam, these augers worked great. In the past I have used spade bits with an extension, these Milwaukee auger bits are way easier and faster.I used the ¾ inch auger bit with my hammer drill because these bits are approved for use with an impact wrench. The Milwaukee bits are reasonably priced and are at least 10 times faster that spade bits in thick lumber with or without nails embedded in it.

I have built a ton of decks using these bits to drill through 8 by 8 pressure treated beams and posts they self feed excellent. They have excellent durability. I have yet to use another brand that I think Is as good a quality.

Im a pro. electrician and have used many brands of augers over the years. This set of bits is by far the best bang for the buck it comes with the most popular size bits for any wire puller and they last.

An upgrade from several hand auger bits. Have encountered several nails wiring my addition and these bits take them in stride. Depending on the presentation they cut through the nail or on occasion wind a parallel nail into a “corkscrew”. Perfect for their intended use and buying the kit saves over individual pricing.
