Awesome bag/wrap comes with these, and this is such a good price when they are 30$ plus each in stores your savings is amazing! Great tool to have for long holes in wood!

Nice set of common sizes. Cuts smooth with fast chip extraction. Steel seems to be of a good quality so hopefully they hold up for a least a few years

Ship Auger Wood Drilling Bit Set (3-Piece) review: These drill bits are very impressive. They are long enough to drill to at least 12″ wood. Wow. They are very powerful, expel the wood fragments, and just blow me away with their efficiency. You WILL need a powerful drill to drive these monsters. Put it on low speed and gradually drill. I use a Milwaukee hammer drill (generation three) or the gen3 impact driver and have no trouble removing wood quickly. Love these bits! Typical Milwaukee superior quality. There ya go!

Quality auger bits for the money. The included storage sheath is nice to keep them organized.

Very Sharp and Aggressive Auger set . the 3 pc set of !/2 ,3/4 & 1 inch. these are the most common size’s needed and free storage pouch. these are very sharp and made using strong heavy duty steel. they are impact rated auger bits . the tips will cut right tough nailed embedded wood . the bits are designed to be used with a impact wrench or 1/2 or larger power drill . these bits have a screw tip on the end and will pull the auger though the wood . the flutes are coated with a teflon type paint to help keep wood chips flowing smoothly. each auger bits about 18 1/2 inch long. the free storage case has room for extra auger bits .made of Velcro straps and heavy duty canvas .

I was tired of using flat bits that don’t last very long and so I tried these auger bits instead. What a difference. The auger design requires far less torque on the electric drill and drills the hole about 10 times faster that a flat bit. But best of all, these auger bits last and last – almost forever. Given the opportunity, I will always buy an auger style bit before a flat bit now.

These bits are beasts, for drilling serious holes. The bits easily chew through wood while leaving a nice clean entry and exit hole (assuming you use a backer board). The bits feel very well build and have a satisfying solid feel to them. With the screw tip front they pull themselves through the wood easily. I did have a bit of an issue with wood splitting but after drilling a small (1/8″) pilot hole first the splitting stopped.

I was a little apprehensive about trying these at first, where they are made in China, but I’ve had such good luck with my Milwaukee cordless stuff, I figured why not. With a little use now, I will say that they seem at least as good as the other brands that I’ve used for years. They were sharp enough right out of the pack. They go through timber in my m18 Fuel drill like you wouldn’t believe. I think it’s the coating that’s on them that reduces friction. They do have a little runout to them, wobbling a little, but doesn’t seem to effect usage. They have the ball detent for use in a 7/16″ hex quick chuck, which I have an adapter on my large right angle. They also are stamped as being impact rated, which I do plan on trying a cordless 7/16″ hex impact driver at some point.

This is a very functional long auger drill bit set with that Milwaukee quality built right in. I used these bits to drill holes for water and electrical lines in the basement. The long length of the bits made it easy to get a good angle for drill through the trusses. The holes were clean and fast even using the low speed on the impact driver. These are quality auger bits: 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch. They are built to last.

These ship auger bits sailed through construction lumber, sheet goods, and 8 inch red oak beams with reckless abandon. I used an old beast of a corded 1/2 drill and an impact wrench with an 7/16 impact socket to drive these bits—with 3/4 getting the most use. Your average 3/8 drill will not accept them and most likely don’t have the torque needed anyway. The holes produced were pretty clean, but not the best. The tear out on the back side was much less than what you get with a spade bit. The long length is a definite plus when trying to drill square and also allows you to go through top and bottom plates and sub-floors with ease. I didn’t cut any nails or screws because that should be a last resort. I’m a fan of the storage wrap that has room to add more augers. They’re longer length and need for a higher torque/slower speed drill means that they won’t replace a good sharp spade bit for me, but they are a welcome addition that does less damage with the toughness needed to power through an obstacle.

I was hesitant to purchase this item because i have always used Bosch when it comes to bits. That being said, this drill bit did everything it was rated for even with an extension while using the longest bit. I will recommend this item.

Love yhis set of augers, love the canvas Roll pouch even more. There are extra slots for say large and long masonry bits.
