These counter-sink bits are very handy if you’re doing any wood working. I use them for pre-drilling screws so the wood does not split. The counter sink part makes a nice smooth surface after the screw is in. This #6 / 9/64” bit gets used often for building my frames for mineral feeders drilling 2×4’s and 2×6’s together. It slides easily in my drills. It is well made and I expect many years of use. I recommend this bit and other sizes from this brand

Using Countersink bits are a must for any woodworker. You’re given the choice of counter-boring, or counter-sinking your screws with this bit.First off…It makes it rather difficult to make any adjustments to the Allen keyed set-screw when this bit didn’t come with an Allen wrench!!! Just about every Countersink bit out there comes with the proper Allen wrench. Somewhat disappointed with Milwaukee for not including this.Using this bit is very easy. You adjust the collar surrounding the bit to the desired depth, and tighten the set screw…That’s it.Overall, this is a really nice quality bit for both counter-sinking, and counter-boring in wood.Very Pleased with the quality Milwaukee consistently provides in their products.

Superb for both 6-32 machine screws and #6 wood screws, in both aluminum and wood. Aluminum needs a starter hole- 3/32″ is plenty. The attached video shows a quick demo (1.7 minute). The 9/64″ size is exactly what we use on our competitive robotics team for nearly all our fasteners, so a speed-bit like this is perfect. The tapered design allows good control in through-holes for aluminum, and gives a good grip-profile for drilling blind in wood (drilling to a depth for screws from 1-3″ long). The countersink can be used to whatever depth of countersinking suits your application. I highly recommend this quality all-in-one bit!

DOES TWO TASKS in HALF the TIME — The Milwaukee #6 Countersink 9/64 in. High Speed Steel Drill Bit is an accessory that every DIYer should have if they like saving time. I had a similar countersink but it disappeared. Then I realized what a time saver it had been since without it I had to predrill the hole and then use a countersink which was not quick change to complete the hole before inserting the screw. This countersink is even better for it has a tapered bit which makes starting the hole easier since the bit will not walk. It makes a clean hole with a perfect countersink. See photo. The depth of the hole can be adjusted by loosening the two hex set screws on the collar, moving the bit to the desired depth, and then tightening the two set screws. All of the Milwaukee countersinks use the same collar so the maximum width of the countersink will be the same for all bits. The bits have a 1/4″ hex shank. The countersink is made is China.

This MILWAUKEE COUNTERSINK HIGH SPEED STEEL DRILL BIT is easy to use. It is a 9/64 INCH, #6 size is accurate. It is easy to choose how deep you want to countersink your hole, from shallow to deep. The bit is strong and tapered to make it easy to use. The bit makes a clean hole to put a screw into. The bit is replaceable, if you do happen to break one.

The center drill had a wobble to it. I was unable to straighten it. It worked for the job I needed but not very impressed with the quality control.

Drills a clean, countersunk hole just the right size for #6 screws. The bit also easily allows for quick depth adjustment with a allen wrench. I also like that the shank of the bit is hexagonal rather than round. It really allows the drill chuck to hold onto the bit, rather than trying to grab onto a round shank. Also allows for chucking into a impact driver.

The addition of the countersink bit definitely saves time because no additional bit change is necessary. However, the tapered bit does appear to be a bit slower than a regular drill bit especially in denser woods. The ability to adjust the countersink for depth is a good feature but it is necessary to really tighten up the screws holding the countersink in place super-tight otherwise it will be pushed along the drill. Overall this is a great addition to the toolkit that works well and saves time.

Awesome countersink and drill bit, I have also bout the freaky brand countersink and I like this one a lot better! Super clean holes and it is easy to control how much it countersinks for the screw head. I also LOVE that I can just throw this in my impact driver if I’m in a hurry and just get the job done faster!
