Milwaukee’s Bell Hanger bits are ideal for installing all types of small wire systems including computer, security, phone and cable. A small hole at the tip of the bit enables wire to be attached to the accessory and pulled through holes when installing wiring systems. Available in 10 different sizes with 12 in., 18 in. and 24 in. lengths they provide extra reach where needed and a hole in the tip to help pull wires through holes. Non-stick coated flutes increase chip ejection and help to reduce binding. An aggressive tip geometry provides faster cutting and the 3-flat shank stops the bit from slipping in the user’s drill.
- Aggressive tip geometry provides faster cutting
- Coated flutes for fast chip removal
- Wire pulling hole enables wire to be attached to the bit and pulled through holes when needed
- 3-flat shank stops bit from slipping in the drill’s chuck

The first one broke and had to be returned

I used this on my lathe as a lamp auger bit, and it worked great. I was making a lamp, and needed to drill a 3/8″ hole through the center from top through bottom. This bit worked exceptionally well through the tailstock, and it could also work through the headstock. I used a drill driver just to hold it while the lathe itself turned the wood. With the short flutes, I had to clear out the chips often, but it definitely worked well.

Drilling into end grain for 20 inches caused the shaft to flex some, so the hole was not perfectly straight, but I was then able to use a 12″ long 7/16 bit that I had to drill end from both ends. Overall it worked well, and I’m sure I’ll have a need for it in the future as well.

It worked perfectly

It shoes up when it was supposed to and is exactly what I wanted.
