Has served me well. Drills through through 2 by 4s easily. Use Reverse on the drill to back the bit out, important not to fight it. Do not over speed the drill bit, 1000 to 1500 RPM.

I used this bit to run contact sensor wire into the basement. I only had to pull the frame on one side of each window. It worked perfectly every time. Holes in the shaft and the bit made fishing the wires easy.

Did exactly what it is advertised to do. Makes running wires under sidewalks much easier.

This is not a tool that will have a home in every tool box or home workshop. However, if you are trying to run a new thermostat wire or computer cable through an interior wall and you encounter blocking or fire break, no other tool will provide the same outcome either. I’ve owned several installer cable bits over the years and this one incorporates the best features of all of them.
