The MILWAUKEE® 3-1/2″ Diamond Ultra Dry Core Bits are engineered with thin kerf segments to provide users with the fastest drilling in concrete, brick and block applications. These diamond core drill bits deliver up to 20% longer run-time versus their previous generation of dry core bits. The diamond dry core bits are specifically designed for use with the MX FUEL™ Core Drill and corded core drills for maximum versatility. The 3-1/2” dry core bit has a maximum RPM of 1180 with 3mm thin kerf for faster holes. The Ultra Dry Core Bits feature a 13″ drilling depth and 1-1/4″-7 thread connection for easy no-adapter use in the MX FUEL™ Core Drill.

This core bit is typically run with a core drill and can be run without water which is impressive. It’s worth noting that it drills even better with water. Still it’s a great feature that you can run it dry when water isn’t available. We actually ran it with a typical Milwaukee 1/2” brushless drill with a side handle and it went amazingly well. We did a 6” core and there was no visible wear on the bit. If you approach the hole at an angle and slowly straighten the angle, it’s controllable. Cuts like butter. Amazing.

I install a lot of handrails on concrete stairs and lots of holes through brick and cinder block and concrete foundation walls on the side of homes for electrical lines and gas pipes and hose bibs.So I ordered the Milwaukee diamond ultra dry core bit 13 in.L x 2-1/2 in.W. It was shipped to my house packed in 2 boxes and protected with bubble wrap. The core bit made it here with no damage. This Milwaukee core bit works with the Milwaukee MX core drill which makes drilling through brick, cinder block and concrete with ease. I went with the dry Core bit because I got tired of dealing with water on cold days and I no longer have to drag a hose with me to the job. Milwaukee dry core bit drills throw the material very easily and with less effort I am estatic about that. This core bit connect to the core drill with 1-1/4 – 7 thread size and the Milwaukee Diamond ultra dry core bit has 4 diamond cutting heads that measures in at 3/8 in. H x 1-1/16 W and covered generously with diamonds. I will never go back to the carbide hole saw for drilling through brick cinder block and concrete.If you’re going to drill through brick,block and concrete is Milwaukee Diamond ultra dry core bit is your best option.I give this Milwaukee diamond core bit 5 stars and recommended 100%
