Milwaukee(R) SDS-Plus Masonry Core Bits are ideal for drilling large holes in brick, block, and concrete with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. Asymmetrical carbide teeth break up material more effectively resulting in up to 20% faster drilling speeds. Centering bits allow for easy alignment of the hole and precise spot drilling. The versatile two-piece design allows users to drill with several different core bit sizes using one adapter. The spiral core body design minimizes friction in the hole and aids in dust removal during the application. Core bits cut with the outer edge only, therefore the operator must remove the inner core continue drilling for holes deeper than 2″.

Superfast holes through block walls are made possible with this bad-boy

The small grinding tips break off which create holes in bit.

Worked great, I just wish Home Depot carried a size for standard round elec box’s.

Work good for shallow holes.

This is a good heavy duty bit. Cut concrete fast and didn’t get very hot. I had some trouble with the pilot bit set screw loosening on the core bit adapter, so I’ll try some thread lock on that set screw for next time.

Needed to drill 4 holes thru brick. It barely made it thru the last hole! I’d recommend getting 2 if you have more then 2 holes

This tool definitely makes easy work of coring holes in block and brick when you need a few holes in a hurry and don’t have a coring machine or time to wait on a company to come out and take care of it, for the price definitely worth it….

Was very pleased to find that these are made in Germany, as anyone in the trades that does any amount of masonry drilling knows is what you want in a carbide bit. I don’t always carry my large corded SDS-Max rotary hammer with me in the truck, so these are great to keep in with my M18 Fuel cordless SDS-Plus that I do keep with me, for the times that I didn’t realize ahead of time that I would be needing to make a larger hole in concrete. Saves me a trip back to the house.Note that these are sold as just the core bit itself, and you will need an SDS-Plus thin-wall core bit shank adapter, of which Milwaukee has available in several lengths.

The masonry core bit worked perfectly in drilling a hole for a dryer vent through four inches of stone.

This works great drilling through concrete floor tiles on my project worksite. The bit is heavy duty and should last a long time.

Excelent tol for inserting 2 inch pipes in concrete . Also when doing ciclon fences in or ground patio.

Masonry core bits are not cheap, but when quality counts, this is the go-to brand – hands down. Made a good clean cut through my 4″ concrete garage floor to pass through electrical conduit. Coupled with it’s drill adapter and a good hammer / drill, this gets the job done! Ready for the next job.
