Milwaukee’s one piece carbide tipped core bits are ideal for drilling large holes in brick, block, and concrete. The asymmetric tooth pitch with alternating tooth geometries for up to 20% faster drilling speeds. The one piece design maximizes energy transfer and the thick wall core body is durable in large hammers. The fluted core exterior minimizes friction loss and removes debris faster. Core bit cut with the outer cutting edge only. The inside core must be removed to allow for deeper hole drilling applications beyond 3″. Centering bit 48-20-5495 (included) is recommended for exact spot drilling and to avoid bit wandering during use. The drift key 48-20-5497 (not included) allows for easy removal of the centering bit. The one piece core bits are available in SDS-Max or Spline shanks, ranging from 1-1/2” to 6” diameters and overall lengths of 11-3/8” or 22”, with a drilling depth of 3”.
- Drift key (48-20-5497) sold separately for easy centering bit removal
- Ideal for brick, block, and concrete applications
- Centering tip to reduce bit walking and create exact spot drilling
- Drilling depth of 3″
- Designed for SDS Max rotary hammers
- Asymmetrical and Alternating Teeth for up to 20% faster drilling speeds
- Thick-Wall Core Body for Durability Even in Large Hammers
- Includes centering bit (48-20-5495) to allow exact spot drilling and reduce bit walking

Used it the same day I bought it. Had it for close to 2 weeks. The material is of great quality! Works fast and efficient and leaves of a clean cut in the cement’s surface and edges. Be mindful of the tip as it can fallout with somewhat of ease. I highly recommend it!6

This bit cuts fast for this size core bit. It cuts a clean hole. It is fairly easy to get the core to break off, so you can drill a hole much deeper then the depth of the bit. The only problem I had with the bit was removing the pilot bit. I ended up having to use a drift pin and a hammer to get it out. I am glad that they made the eject hole a through hole, and that the end of the pilot bit only extends into it about a quarter of the way. The bit has a tapered shank, so one you get it to move, it comes out easy.

This core bit went thru concrete very easy. I encountered some rebar on the way drilling. I did not forced it thru the rebar but I noticed that i did some damage to the rebar and the drill bit did not suffer any damage. This core bit met and exceeded my expectations
