Milwaukee’s one piece carbide tipped core bits are ideal for drilling large holes in brick, block, and concrete. The asymmetric tooth pitch with alternating tooth geometries for up to 20% faster drilling speeds. The one piece design maximizes energy transfer and the thick wall core body is durable in large hammers. The fluted core exterior minimizes friction loss and removes debris faster. Core bit cut with the outer cutting edge only. The inside core must be removed to allow for deeper hole drilling applications beyond 3″. Centering bit 48-20-5495 (included) is recommended for exact spot drilling and to avoid bit wandering during use. The drift key 48-20-5497 (not included) allows for easy removal of the centering bit. The one piece core bits are available in SDS-Max or Spline shanks, ranging from 1-1/2” to 6” diameters and overall lengths of 11-3/8” or 22”, with a drilling depth of 3”.

This 2-5/8 IN. X 11-3/8 IN. SDS-MAX CORE BIT worked flawlessly for the application I used this on. As a professional contractor there are many different situations we come across. We used this core bit to drill through a concrete slab on grade. The problem was voids under slab were perfect homes for chipmunks so we drilled around the perimeter every 24inches then poured precision grout until filled. Bye bye chipmunks.

This core bit went thru concrete very easy. I encountered some rebar on the way drilling. I did not forced it thru the rebar but I noticed that i did some damage to the rebar and the drill bit did not suffer any damage. This core bit met and exceeded my expectations

The center bit loosens up and there is no way of securing it, this renders the whole bit useless.

Very nice bit last along time.

Cut a clean hole. I have an off brand roto hammer and it was able to get through easy and straight. I cut a hole for 1 1/2″ iron pipe through a footing 8″ thick. It looks ready to drill another, shesaid.I would recommend this tool and home depot was the only place on a Sunday that was open.
