The Milwaukee SDS-Plus 4-Cutter MX4 5/32 in. x 4 in. x 6 in. Drill Bits feature solid carbide heads that deliver up to 5x longer life in concrete with rebar. Engineered with rebar guards to provide maximum durability in hard aggregate and rebar. MX4 4-Cutter bits are designed with sharp centering tips for exact spot drilling in concrete and metal decking. The 4-cutter design prevents lock-up in rebar, reducing downtime. Variable flutes remove dust faster, reducing heat and delivering up to 20% more holes per battery charge. This bit ate right through my 10-day old concrete footings without breaking a sweat. Drilled 9 holes @ 5/8” diameter about 5.5” deep and each hole took maybe 10 seconds. Didn’t encounter rebar so I can’t speak to how well the bit cuts thru steel, but for concrete, it was great. I don’t have the need for drilling 5/8” holes in concrete often, but you can’t go wrong with this bit.

Bought this to perforate a 18″ thick, double stacked limestone wall so we could breakthrough. Most people think Limestone is soft but it’s actually very sense and this bit drilled right through it. About a minute, give or take, per hole to go 18″ with a small Makita SDS. Excellent buy. Even after what was 130 holes through Limestone, it’s still like new going through concrete. Great buy.
