The Milwaukee SDS-Plus 4-Cutter MX4 3/16 in. X 4 in. X 6 in. Drill Bits feature solid carbide heads that deliver up to 5x longer life in concrete with rebar. Engineered with rebar guards to provide maximum durability in hard aggregate and rebar. MX4 4-Cutter bits are designed with sharp centering tips for exact spot drilling in concrete and metal decking. The 4-cutter design prevents lock-up in rebar, reducing downtime. Variable flutes remove dust faster, reducing heat and delivering up to 20% more holes per battery charge. Wear mark indicator shows users the end of life when the bits no longer meet the ANSI requirement. The Milwaukee MX4 4-Cutter Drill Bits are ideal for concrete with rebar and masonry applications.

I was disappointed that this didn’t stay sharp longer. I know hammer drills are hard on bits … though I only had eight holes to drill in old brick.

Never used Milwaukee drill bits before, assumed it wouldn’t be any different from other brands I have used, notably Bosch and Irwin. Although I didn’t get to use the bit in a heavy duty fashion, the limited experience was very positive. It drilled through cement board and cement block easily. My only regret is that I didn’t make the purchase sooner because it could have saved time/energy on my project.

Cut through my 8″ 80 year old foundation like butter.

This bit ate right through my 10-day old concrete footings without breaking a sweat. Drilled 9 holes @ 5/8” diameter about 5.5” deep and each hole took maybe 10 seconds. Didn’t encounter rebar so I can’t speak to how well the bit cuts thru steel, but for concrete, it was great. I don’t have the need for drilling 5/8” holes in concrete often, but you can’t go wrong with this bit.
