The Milwaukee SDS-MAX 4-Cutter MX4 5/8 in. X7-1/2 in. X 13 in. Drill Bits feature solid carbide heads that deliver up to 5x longer life in concrete with rebar. Engineered with rebar guards to provide maximum durability in hard aggregate and rebar. MX4 4-Cutter bits are designed with sharp centering tips for exact spot drilling in concrete. The integrated 4-cutter design prevents lock-up in rebar, reducing downtime. Variable flutes remove dust faster, reducing heat and delivering up to 15% more holes per battery charge. Wear mark indicator shows users the end of life when the bits no longer meet the ANSI requirement. The Milwaukee MX4 4-Cutter Drill Bits are ideal for concrete with rebar and masonry applications.

It was okay for about the first 15 holes and then it lost it’s ability to continue making holes in the concrete. The Hilti bit that I had before made about 40 holes in the same concrete.

When I ordered this SDS MAX drill bit I thought the MAX as the name of the bit not knowing that there are 2 sizes of sds drills. SDS PLUS and SDS MAX are the 2 sizes they have different size shanks.Yes there adapters to go from one size to the other, I would only recommend that if you have the larger size SDS MAX to reduce to SDS PLUS other wise you may over work you drill and destroy it.This drill bit was tested on a GRANITE BOULDER and it went 15″in ONLY 90 SECONDS!!!!I actually had to buy a new SAS MAX hammer drill and I got one from Harbor Freight, this 4 cutter drill bit looked like brand new after the test hole. Imagine how fast it could go through concrete witha more powerful drill. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Milwaukee bit to every one who needs to get hols done quickly!!! I am a HUGE Milwaukee tool fan and I have had only good luck with ALL of thier tools as well as drill bits and saw blades.

Great bit, well constructed, even has a little flex to it so you can drill at an angle. Milwaukee products always deliver!

Bit’s lifetime could be better, 9 holes and it was dead.

This bit worked amazing. It drilled through the concrete like it was nothing. Great quality bit.

I was a bit hesitant to buy Milwaukee brand but since it was the only brand available at the store that day that had the diameter size I needed. I used this drill bit in recently poured concrete post, to install a retrofit bolt anchor. Worked well and made easy work of drilling on the concrete.

i had purchase 3 sizes and the 3/4 was not needed but the 5/8 and the 1″ have been fantastic, goes thru concrete like wood and if it hits the steel it does not break

This is a well made (in Germany) concrete bit (suitable for rebar contact) for use with SDS-MAX hammer drills. It is advertised as a 4 cutter bit, two full width and two partial (see photo). The “variable flute” design (which is deeper than other bits I have used) results in faster and more complete evacuation of drilling “dust” from the hole being drilled, with less frequent need to pull the drill out of the hole to clean the hole. The carbide protrusions on the side (for encounters with rebar) are longer in length and do not stick out as far as other bits, increasing their resistance to damage. I did not get a chance yet to see how it performs with rebar present, but in an unreinforced 4 inch concrete slab, it drilled through like it was butter. All four of the cutting surfaces communicate with the flutes, for material removal, not just the primary full width cutters. The manufacturer claims 20% faster drilling than others, and, based on the reduced frequency of stopping to remove the drilling residue alone, I have no reason to doubt it.

Awesome drill bit, amazed it does exactly as stated. Blew threw concrete and rebar.
