The Milwaukee SDS-MAX 4-Cutter MX4 5/8 in. X 15-1/2 in. X 21 in. Drill Bits feature solid carbide heads that deliver up to 5x longer life in concrete with rebar. Engineered with rebar guards to provide maximum durability in hard aggregate and rebar. MX4 4-Cutter bits are designed with sharp centering tips for exact spot drilling in concrete. The integrated 4-cutter design prevents lock-up in rebar, reducing downtime. Variable flutes remove dust faster, reducing heat and delivering up to 15% more holes per battery charge. When I ordered this SDS MAX drill bit I thought the MAX as the name of the bit not knowing that there are 2 sizes of sds drills. SDS PLUS and SDS MAX are the 2 sizes they have different size shanks.Yes there adapters to go from one size to the other, I would only recommend that if you have the larger size SDS MAX to reduce to SDS PLUS other wise you may over work you drill and destroy it.This drill bit was tested on a GRANITE BOULDER and it went 15″in ONLY 90 SECONDS!!!!I actually had to buy a new SAS MAX hammer drill and I got one from Harbor Freight, this 4 cutter drill bit looked like brand new after the test hole. Imagine how fast it could go through concrete witha more powerful drill. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Milwaukee bit to every one who needs to get hols done quickly!!! I am a HUGE Milwaukee tool fan and I have had only good luck with ALL of thier tools as well as drill bits and saw blades.

Very well made as are all of Milwaukee’s tools. SDS tools are easy mounting and easy to remove, no keys necessary. These bits cut like a dream. Shank is precision ground to fit SDS MAX tools. Very fast and smooth cutting. The way the carbide is shaped and sharpened it should hold up for a lot of holes.Photos would show little so I have none with this review.

This drill bit ate through the concrete like it was butter. In about 20 seconds, I was 12″ deep into the concrete foundation. I did not hit rebar, so I cannot comment on how well it holds up for going through rebar.

I needed to drill a bunch of 2″ deep, 3/4″ holes in a well cured concrete slab. This bit did a great job, drilling the holes in no time. I found that I got the best results if I supported some of the weight of the drill. The entire weight of the drill was too much pressure on the bit for optimum drilling speed.After a dozen holes, you could hardly tell the bit had been used. This is a well made bit, and I expect to drill a lot of holes with it. It should easily last me for the rest of my life…

It was okay for about the first 15 holes and then it lost it’s ability to continue making holes in the concrete. The Hilti bit that I had before made about 40 holes in the same concrete.
