Used the small bit and worked well for drilling into brick. Wish I had a hammer drill – would of likely worked better. Did 4 holes and was able to use the concrete screws I needed to install.

Drill bits work great BUT packaging has no instructions on HOW TO OPEN IT. Wrecked container getting it open now have to keep in ziplock bag Subtracting TWO STARS for REALLY BAD PACKAGING!!!!

I highly recommend these bits. They seem to drill really fast and last a long time. I like this set of five bits from 5/32-3/8 inches as a set for a DIYer like myself. You buy one set and it should be effective for most jobs. The other thing I like about this set is the bits are 6 inches in length. Most of my other bits in this size range are only 4.5-5 inches in length.

This drill bit set has the same size bits as Milwaukee # 48-20-8851 (THD SKU #525593) but it has one extra of the 3/16 and 1/4 bits. The bits are nicely crafted. I’ve used the 1/4 and 3/8 bits to drill holes in concrete for anchors. With my hammer drill, the bits bore through the concrete like it was a piece of pine.I’ve found the plastic case they come in to be surprising useful for storing the bits. I used a sharp knife to to cut the plastic wrapper right where the bottom edge of the top half the of case ends, right in the middle of the words Larga vida on the wrapper. The bits were made in Germany.

Great drill bits, won’t let you down.

This Milwaukee carbide hammer drill set is a terrific value in my opinion. I’ve only used 2 bits so far, one cut several holes in hollow block quickly with no fuss, the other went through some hard concrete a bit more slowly but with no damage. They are sturdy enough for their size, and all 6 bits were nice and straight (I’m always surprised when new bits wobble, but it happens a lot). I don’t know that I’d use these day-in and day-out, but they suit my occasional needs perfectly.

These bits are wonderful. I have used it in both of my hammer drills corded and battery They stayed tight in the drill no problems I regularly have to install things on concrete blocks and these did it in record time.I wish all bits had one flat side stays in the drill bit sizes range from 5/32 to 3/8 I have used the 1/4 inch for weeks now and there is no sign of it stopping being useful.

Perfect! High quality bits for masonry in a convenient case. This is the perfect set – all the right sizes for most smaller jobs. I don’t drill concrete everyday and because of that usually have to go looking for my bits. At least in the convenient case, I will always be able for find them. These are really good bits made in Germany. The three sided flat shank design prevents the bit from slipping in the chuck. In my m-18 hammer drill (with the 9 amp hour battery) these go through concrete like nobody’s business. Perfect for tap-cons and plastic anchors – in fact the set includes two 1/4 inch bits which is generally what I use for anchors. Great set of great drill bits that will definitely get the job done!

What can I say these are great. Just what I except from Milwaukee. They work really well. I’ve only used a couple of them a few times but they work great in my Ryobi Hammer Drill. I can see them lasting much better than the cheep ones I had before. The case is nice but I’m not sure how long the case will actually last. I hope to get a long life out of these.

The Milwaukee drill bits worked better and drilled holes faster than my other drill bits and had a longer life. Living in a CBS house with a concrete seawall I do a lot of drilling for fasteners. Now days Tapcon screws seem to be the fastener of choice and in order for them to hold the hole has to be the correct depth. I usually start with a small drill and work up to the bit I need. To test these I went right to the 3/8 size. Using a corded hammer drill it drilled right thru the concrete to the depth I needed. The bit is squared on three sides to prevent it from slipping in the drill. I spent a lot less time drilling and got the job done quicker. Another quality product from Milwaukee.

I consider a lot of hammer drill bits disposable. Prolonged use, even on a single hole in concrete can destroy a bit that is not capable of handling the heat generated. Many have a maximum speed allowed for this reason, which is often lower than the drill that I am using. These bits seem to be capable of repeated use, and have no maximum speed indicated. They get hot, but seem to be able to handle the heat. The 1/4 inch size drilled two inches into a concrete foundation wall in less than a minute. Old concrete can sometimes be the most difficult to drill, but I had no problem here, and the bit looked just as good when finished. To be sure, the bit does only half of the work. A good hammer drill is also needed, and in this case both were Milwaukee. They make a good product, and their tool line has been expanding a lot lately. Everything that I have seen has been high quality, well designed and manufactured. As far as the case for these bits, it is a little confusing at first. Just slice the paper label at the ridge, and the top will slide right off, so that you can reuse the case. Maybe there could have been some direction on the label.A very nice set of bits, that should last longer than most.

Purchased Milwaukee hammer drill (very good) and drill bits (average at best as compared with very old Craftsman bits)

It got the job done perfectly. The only downside was that the package was hard to open, and I ended up cutting some of the storage box of the bits, but I got it open!

These are some of my new favorite bits. The absolutely punish the concrete that you are drilling through, and they do it fast. I drilled hole, after hole, after hole with these, and not one issue with dulling or breakage. I also love how the flutes take the dust up and discharge it rather than bogging down the the bit. I have to say I am very pleaded with this bit, and for the price, you absolutely cant go wrong.

I have several sets of Milwaukee drill bits, and this hammer drill set is no exception to the excellent quality of Milwaukee bits. Drilling in concrete block is easy, and even into solid concrete doesn’t dull the bit until after 8-10 holes, compared to only a few holes with a non-carbide bit. Sharpening the bit restores the cutting quality, as it does most all drill bits. This kit includes the most popular sizes in a plastic box.

Another great product from Milwaukee for the contractor, diyer or homeowner. As a handyman this 7 piece pack is good for all those projects requiring a small (1/8″ – 1/2″ ) hole to be able to mount outdoor art, garden baskets, lights or holiday items. The 3 flat secure grip is very useful in keeping the bit from moving in the chuck. A nice set to have in the tool box. The bit storage box could be a little better designed to hold the bits more securely.
