very good bits. just punched 20+ holes in concrete to attach uni-strut for conduit. and first hole to the last was done with relative ease. i like the flat shank for secure grip and no slip during use. like any of these bits let the bit and hammer drill do the work. it prolongs the useful life of the carbide tip. Milwaukee makes good tools and these stand up to the name. the plastic case comes in handy to store them.

Used bits in hammer drill to drill holes to hang curtain rods on my brick wall. Worked!

Milwaukee makes great equipment in my opinion and these hammer drill bits are no exception. There are 7 bits included in this set, one 3/8″, one 5/16″, two 1/4″, two 3/16″, and one 5/32″. The bits are stamped Germany so the steel is a quality steel which I hope to stay sharp for a long time. Each shank has 3 flat sections which keep the bit from spinning in the drill chuck. They come in a handy plastic container box for neat and easy storage.

The Milwaukee 6 piece Hammer-Drill Bit Set contains the most commonly needed sizes of hammer-drill bits. Whether you need to drill a hole in concrete, concrete block, brick or masonry, these bits will easily do the job when paired with a hammer-drill. The bits have a total length of 6 inches and are carbide tipped for long lasting durability. Sizes range from 1/4 , 5/32, 3/16, 5/16 and 3/8 inch. There are two ¼ inch bits giving you the total of 6 hammer-drill bits altogether. One important thing these bits have is a 3 flat shank design to give the hammer-drill the best grip on holding the bit tightly. If the bit was round, then the hammering action may cause the bit to slip. These bits are designed to be used in both corded or cordless hammer-drills.On the downside, the only thing I didn’t like with these hammer-drill bits was how hard it is to unpackage them. I literally used a tin snips to cut the top off and had to be very careful so as not to damage the bits since there is not much room in the packaging when trying to break it open. I’m sure it was done as a part of theft protection while its displayed in the store, but I would like to see more thought given on how a consumer is going to get these drill bits out without going through a lot of work. I don’t know what the answer is, but it is very inconvenient as it stands right now, hopefully it will be addressed in the near future. Other than that, they work incredibly well, I had no problems drilling through concrete with these bits.

Its not every day that you are in need of a concrete or masonry drill bit, but when you do need one I can defiantly recommend this Milwaukee set of 7 bits that cover most of the normal use around your home. Just yesterday we started putting up our Christmas decorations and with some extra wreaths this year I had to put some concrete screws in our very hard brick. These bits were the easiest and best that I have ever used. the flat shank design and their pointed end designs made it much faster and neater for me to place my hanger screws.

These Milwaukee Carbide Hammer Drill Bits are the Best I’ve used. No Slip Shafts that don’t slip in your chuck are Great. Very Sharp Solid Carbide Bits. The Seven Bit assortment makes it easy to match your anchor or screw. I hammer drilled a hole in a cement block with no more effort than holding up the drill and a hole in my 60 year old poured cement wall with the same result. My new Go To Bits.

Work your way through the concrete slab, let the hammer do the impact and the drill do the hole -that’s the difference between concrete and butter…

Excellent set of quality bits. The bits have 3-flats on the shanks which keep them securely set in the chuck. There is a very helpful “center point” tip which allows for precision drilling. As others have mentioned, let the bits do the work to preserve the carbide tips. The bits have held up well, with no signs of dulling, but just in case, the set of 7 bits does include 2 each of the most popular ones, 1/4″ and 3/16″. They are made in Germany. I would highly recommend them.

I drilled a 1/8 thick piece of mild steel plate and the bit worked as advertised. I am very satisfied with the bit set. Thank you HDX for a quality product.

I’ve only used the bits once, it was in red brick. Seemed like it was hard to get drilling for first 1/4” or so for each of the 6 holes I drilled. I was using an M12 Fuel hammer drill set to hammer. Once last that 1/4” though bits drilled fine.

I used these to install some tapcons. I needed a hole in concrete block about an 1.5″ deep. Using an M-18 hammer drill, the 5/32″ bit made the hole in seven seconds. I was impressed with how fast it tore into the concrete. I used the 3/16″ bit in a concrete paver with rock set in the surface. Again, it chewed deep and fast into the paver. The 3/16 hit something, and the bit came out of the chuck, but it cut a nice hole fast. Even boring between the rocks in the paver, the tip showed no wear.
