For whatever reason I have always had a separate set of drill bits, one for wood and metal, and the other for masonry. The fact that these bits are multi material was exciting. Recommended uses for these bits are brick, block, concrete, steel, aluminum, ceramic tile, backerboard, wood, PVC, and drywall. I was mainly interested in testing the bits in concrete and steel.I mainly tested the 3/8 bit using my Milwaukee Hammer Drill. I punched into 6 inches of concrete in about 10 seconds. There was very minimal walking on the surface of the concrete and I drilled 10 holes back to back and the walking was still minimal. Each hole took the same amount of time to drill. After punching 10 holes in concrete I moved on to 1/4 steel and the tip of the bit was still sharp so I had no walking when I drilled into steel. 10 holes took about 5 seconds each hole and performance for each hole was pretty much the same. I wanted to check wear on the bit so I also drilled into wood and drywall and PVC and there was no lack in performance when compared to my Milwaukee titanium bits I use for wood.Overall very satisfied with the performance of the bits and I like the fact that I can get rid of some of my old bit sets.

I recently had to add bolt holes in steel motorcycle floorboards. The drill bits did the job easily without excessive heat.

Drills worked better than expected when drilling fired bricks and cement mortar. And I’ve used lots of masonry drills over the years. Now if they just hold their sharpness.Very pleased.Packaging could use a little better description of how to open as it is not obvious that the package doubles as a case.

MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE CARBIDE MULTI – MATERIAL DRILL BITS SET (5-PACK) I used these to make some holes in tile, they did a perfect job . I also needed to drill a hole in concrete to mount a hose reel for my neighbor . He had a bit he just purchased , we did a comparison and the Milwaukee Shockwave bits did a much better and quicker job. I would not hesitate to purchase more of these bits.
