I would like to say that this drill bits are the best, I was able to pass the concrete in second with my Ryobi Drill. Incredible how good they work. I highly recommend them.

I used the 3/16“ bit to open holes for Tapcon ¼” x 2-3/4” screws into concrete using a Hammer Drill. I was happy to see that they went through the pine 2×4 and ‘marked’ into the concrete footing with ease and made 6 holes 4” deep. The bits are 6” long so they easily made holes deep enough. I also removed the 2×4 to easily make full 4” holes. I only got a slow down once but punched right through with light pressure on the hammer drill. The dust cleared easily and when I pulled back to clear it about halfway down, not much more came out. I used compressed air to clear the hole before starting the screws. The bits are only rated for an Impact Driver on ‘Cinder’ blocks. Impact Driver is NOT recommended for concrete or brick (see photo of back panel). Cinder blocks are made of cast concrete with aggregate. The bit punched though the block easily and smoothly with my Impact Driver. A similar slowdown when I hit some aggregate but easily pushed through it with a slight pressure on the Impact Driver.Compared to other bits I have tried, I can say these were fast, smooth and long lasting. This is what I expected from a Carbide bit and it showed very little wear when done (see photo). I highly recommend these bits.

Took a bit to get them started into brick. They wanted to jump around but once started, they cut pretty well.

Great value for a great product….the wort thing about this product is getting the packaging open! I literally had to break out the plasma torch to get this thing opened. Besides that, no complaints

Even a small, cordless hammer drill effortlessly drilled up to 5/16″ hole in solid concrete. Carbide tips are ground precisely for excellent cutting properties. They are designed to eject drilling dust even in a vertical hole, so they do not seize up or bind during drilling small, long holes. Ideal to drill holes for Tapcon fasteners. This set of drill bits fits a regular hammer drill chuck or impact drill (hex shaft).

This 5 pack hard carbide drill bits from Milwaukee, in sizes of 5/32″, 3/16″, 1/4″. 5/16″ and 3/8″ is the perfect combination concrete carbide drill bits for all concrete / masonry use, including granite. The hardened steel bit is sharpened for easy starting into hard masonry use. Drills easily into brick, block and tested on harder granite rock material, where these bits didn’t wobble, and easily drilled a clean hole. The 1/4″ shank is a added convenient feature making this product easy to use.

I give five stars to the actual drill bits but the packaging drops the overall score to three stars. The package is hermetically sealed and I ended up using a Dremel tool to get it open. This is a seven drill set that has to be ordered online and I thought the packaging for the five drill set carried in the stores may be different. When I checked at my local Home Depot store the five drill set is packaged the same way. What I will advise is, “Buyer beware”.

The Milwaukee Shockwave Carbide Hammer Drill Bits Set (5-pack) is perfect item for my family. My husband has a handyman business and is always using his Milwaukee drills and unfortunately, drill bits get misplaced or broken. These will be greats replacements for him to use. They look to be very durable and will be used daily in his business. l recommend these drill bits.
