This is a great bit, bought a 6 pack because they tend to burn out on my old dense concrete, but one bit drilled all 6 holes that I needed with no issues

After reading up on other reviews, I was a bit apprehensive but well worth the money. Using it on a finished basement to screw down wooden subfloor they worked well. One bit did about 8 holes and was still easy to make holes in finished cement floor. Did not need to use any coolant on bit.Keep in mind that some concrete particularly in older builds have more aggregate in the mixture (rock and gravel) which might make it harder to drill.I also suggest that you drill to a level then pull the drill out of the cement to remove the shavings which will dull the blade faster. Also let the bit do the work, no need to strong arm the bit and dull if faster.

I really like these Milwaukee 5/32″ hammer drill bits. They are made from hard steel. Nice and long. In this series the hexagonal shanks are all the same size. They shaft locks into the chuck really well. No slipping. Sometimes bits this small are a bit fragile and will break pretty easily. I saw no evidence that this one would have that issue. It zipped right through a hard fired brick with just normal pressure. I will buy Shockwave when and if I wear these out.

this bit did the job! i had previously purchased three different brands of bits for concrete that burned on the first hole. 1 of these completed five holes.

Designed for impact or hammer drills, these drill bits are engineered to drill through concrete, block or brick. You will get 5x the life from these bits and their design makes them twice a fast as other bits (cuts your drill time in half). They are not recommended to be used in an impact driver for concrete. An impact driver can be used if you are drill brick or block. Great for high speed in a hammer drill for concrete, brick or block. These bits are 1/4″ by 4″ by 6″ and come 5 to a pack.

Works much better than the tap-con brand ones. But, what do you expect? Its Milwaukee.

Impressive would be an understatement. I usually use titanium concrete drill bits with limited success. After trying the Milwaukee 3/16” concrete drill bit, it is a game changer. I always say the appropriate tool for the job at hand. If you want to drill through concrete quickly and effortlessly, most definitely give this drill bit a try. It’s amazing how a quality bit can change efficiency.

This is my review of the Milwaukee 1/4 inch shockwave carbide hammer drill bits 48-20-9162 designed for use in impact and hammer drills. I just had the opportunity to try these bits while replacing some drain lines that had to be secured to concrete columns. I used the bits in a cordless hammer drill and they did the job. Drilling was fast and effortless, The bits did not walk when starting a hole. After installing over 25 straps (50) holes I was still using the same bit. I would recommend these. If I need other size bits for concrete I will buy this brand.

Did the job using a regular drill, but would have been much easier with an impact drill.

Milwaukee carbide drill bits last and cut through the toughest materials. Concrete, block or brick will not stand in your way. You will drill quickly through it and install what you need in a breeze. The drill bit was tough to bend or break. The hexagon end gives the bit positive contact with your drill. This Milwaukee drill bit comes in a five pack.

Good for a simple task, not good enough for the money I paid.
