The Milwaukee 26 foot wide blade tape measure is an excellent product. I use it for measuring houses inside and out. It is especially useful for measuring exteriors because the tape can be raised to rooflines easily and withstand the wind better than most. The large numbers are great for trying to read number high up in the direct sunlight. It is heavier and bulkier than most but what you gain is worth it.

I know I received this product for free in exchange for a review, but this tape measure is awesome PERIOD.The tape is smooth, wide, vibrant is the best way I can describe the color; it is easy to read. And that’s saying a lot given it covers sae, metric, and architectural scales. The wide tape means the blade is not cluttered. The thick gauge of the steel helps get the tape to achieve that claimed 14’ standout. In testing, I was able to reach 14’ easily with a guide hand about six inches from the tape. If I removed the guide hand, it did break in the 13.5’ range. But that still beats my other tapes which are between 10 and 11.5’ standout. The tape being two sided and vertically oriented on the other side is a GREAT feature. It’s little thoughtful conveniences like this coupled with build quality and raw performance that make Milwaukee a compelling offering. Finally, the ability to lock with your finger on the underside is also perfectly executed and convenient, especially when reaching for the aforementioned standout (since you don’t have to move your hand or jostle the tape). When you want to lock the tape, the lock is precise and gives a nice positive click. There’s none of that forcing it into and out of the lock position after initial engagement. It also feels ergonomic compared to what I’m used to.I can’t speak to the longevity as of this review, but I see no inferiority in this tape compared to others I’ve owned that are still going strong after 15 years. The materials all appear high end, and the fit and finish down to the seam between the two shells speak to the overall build quality. The belt clip is different than I’m used to, but it seems sturdy, well made, and easily replaceable. It has a wiry appearance, but is actually a bit thicker and flattens out on the side that will rest against you. When the tape is on your person, it feels securely in place. It’s also deeper than what I’m used to, starting at the top of the tape rather than the middle, so you don’t get that top heavy feeling from the tape leaning out.Even when not on sale, it is not expensive considering how much use someone will get out of it. I can wholeheartedly endorse this product with the caveat that only time will reveal how durable it truly is.If for whatever reason my opinion changes over time, I will say so in a new review.

This is a Milwaukee tool it’s going to last a long time. I tried the 14′ extended test and it passed with flying colors. I like the fact that the tape measure can be read on both sides. They put the measurements on the underneath side too. Smooth acting. Has a belt clip on the side. Plenty of shock absorbing material in it for when it gets dropped. I’ve been using Milwaukee tools since the 70’s and have yet to have a product disappoint.

Several things make this tape measure by Milwaukee a step above comparable tapes. Perhaps the most profound is the width which gives it the outstanding ability to go out at a much greater distance than most and not collapse after 3-4 feet. Being an older senior citizen normally working alone this is very beneficial along with the length markings being larger and easier for me to read. It is built sturdy and the 16’ length is perfect.

Very happy with this tape measure. compact yet very durable with high quality and material. I particularly like the wide bade which allows for a better run out but also larger print on the tape. There is a clever little slot underneath where you can grip the tape from underneath with a finger. This makes using this tape super fast and less clunky than trying to fuss with the lock or some other mechanism. It is wide enough for most any finger and while wearing gloves. To me, it’s one of those features where you look at it and say ‘why didn’t I think of that!’The blade is rather thick and very durable, and the spring is incredibly smooth and strong. I expect to get many years of use out of this take measure.

First impressions: Heavy! Weighs about a pound! Operates smoothly. Sports a 1.3″ wide blade. This gives is supposed to provide a substantial 14′ foot standout. After multiple attempts, the best I could manage before the tape would “break” was 13′. That’s still pretty good and I won’t quibble about one foot. Features: Tape is printed on both sides. First six inches have an anti-wear coating for extra endurance. Has finger protection for when you quickly reel in the tape. It is heavy duty and built to last. The 5 point strengthened frame will help it hold up for years to come. Has a limited lifetime warranty. Built in China. I recommend this item. 4 stars instead of 5 simply because it’s too heavy.

Ordered and returned a Stanley which was a few dollars less, the control button was wonky. I needed a metric/standard measure and decided on this Milwaukee. It’s heavier and stout compared to others due to the wide blade but well worth the extra few bucks. A great feature is the opening on the bottom to finger stop the tape, simple !

A Very Impressive Tape Measure. Fits well in my large hand. I really like the feel of it. Very well made construction. Impact resistant. Measures in Feet & Inches and Centimeters front and back and has an architectural scale printed on the reverse. The two sided printing is a real plus. I really like the finger stop control. The 14 foot standout is true to form. Actually a bit longer. Has an integrated belt clip.

Really nice, super solid, heavy duty tape measure. Love that it can stand out 14 feet without bending. Full length is up to 26 feet! Wide blade is sturdy and strong. Impact Resistant Frame to guard from falls. It has a finger stop to prevent from blade retraction. Double-sided measurements in inches and centimeters for easy reading. I’ll be reaching for this tape measure often! Great quality product! Highly Recommend!

This is probably the best tape measure I have had. This tape measure is super durable and heavy duty. Not only is the housing unit durable, but the tape itself is durable. This will take a beating for sure. I bet I could drop this many times and not have a problem. The extra wide tape is very handy; you can extend it in the air about 11 feet before it snaps. I definitely recommend this tape measure. I look forward to getting a longer one of this same series.

This isn’t a measure for everyone or every project. All the brands have gotten larger and heavier in recent years, which isn’t a problem if you’re working out of a tool belt. But for carry around and basic quick measures, it’s overkill. Where it shines is on one man jobs jobs with a lot of long board measurements – the standout is at least 12′, quite impressive. Obviously the 1.3″ wide tape is how they get that done. The tape rolls out and in very smoothly with just the right amount of spring retraction. It’s got the standard top slide tape lock but also has an ingenious finger hold at the bottom, afforded by its large case size (see pic). This is super convenient for one hand operation. The case has a partial rubberized skin which helps grips and insulate drops. The hook tab is attached with three rivets instead of the standard two, keeping the hook float more accurate later in its life as the rivet slots wear. And I really like the spring wire belt clip. It catches and slips onto a belt or pocket top very smoothly. However, the tape’s marking type size is surprisingly small despite the 1.3″ wide real estate. And weirdly, it devotes half of the marking space to metric cm. I don’t mind hybrid unit markings, which are handy on occasion, but practically speaking, the SAE unit markings should be dominant on models offered to construction trades within the U.S.. They do get extra points for marking both sides of the tape!I won’t carry this around in the field but will appreciate it on larger sawhorse carpentry jobs and long limited access measurements.

Two-sided tape measure with a 26 foot distance tape. This tape measure is wider than most with clear graphics and numbers. This will be the tape measure preferred by everyone in your home. The frame is very sturdy with an easy tape pull. The tape stays in place when locked. The exterior has a protective grip which helps keep the tool in your hand.Milwaukee is a name brand and the benefits of this product are obvious. The markings are in mm, inches, and feet. The numbers are large and distinct. The tool locks when it is engaged. The end pull is sturdy and strong. The overall design is made with thought and meets more criteria than other tape measures in our tool box. Even the reverse vertical read of the numbers is a benefit in some jobs. Great product.

This Milwaukee 8m / 26ft with 14’ standout tape measure is heavy duty! Milwaukee tools are synonymous with strength and durability and this tape measure certainly has both. Has anti tear coating, impact resistant frame, 2 sided printing, finger stop, and wire belt clip. It is heavy and it is long. No need to borrow anyone’s tape measure with this addition to your toolbox. The standout is based on maximum performance.

Good quality and works fine. Only downside is the weight because it is so wide but if you need to reach a distance without the tape collapsing you need the width.

HEAVY DUTY TAPE. I hate flimsy tape measures and this is a GREAT product. There are a couple features I have found useful. The tape is wide and you can easily extend it out 10-12 feet without it snapping down. It will bow, but not snap. Great if you are doing things single handed. The tape is marked in MM and Feet/Inches with the standard marking for studs. Also, the tape is marked on both sides, not just on the topside (see picture). The tape has an end on it that can facilitate measuring with the top or bottom side of the tape (see picture). It has a heavy duty clip that I find a plus due to past products snapping off after time. But it also offers a lanyard connector on the rear of the tape. It is a heavy duty tape and it is heavy, so you will feel it tugging on your belt.

The Milwaukee tape measure is an excellent tool to have around the house. It has a nice, wide blade that extends and retracts easily, and it is marked in both English and metric units. The case comes equipped with little “feet” that allows it to stand steadily, and those on one end will accept a lanyard. It also has a loop on the side so that it will attach to a belt or to your pocket. The frame is very durable and will withstand a lot of wear and tear. When the tape is extended, you are able to stop it from retracting by using your finger, and there is a simple locking mechanism on the front that engages with a slight push from your thumb. I found the tape measure to be very easy to manage during use and the wide blade was very easy to read. This seems like a very high quality tape measure that was designed for heavy-duty usage.

This tape measure is wonderful. It is wide and easy to read. I love the fact that it has markings on both sides of the tape. The end of the tape also has latches on both sides so you can easily grab your material. The standout is astounding. For my projects, I am usually working alone and this allows me to easily extend the measure across my material, in fact you can easily reach the ends of most rooms!
