This tape has some really great features. The lock holds, the finger control and guard are nice, but what I really love is the large lettering on both sides. I would buy it again just for that!. I have had it less than a month, so can’t comment on durability, but it seems pretty sturdy. The reason I deducted 1 star is the claimed reach of 17′. 12′ sure. 14′ if very steady, but I could not get 17′

The Milwaukee 25ft Wide Blade Tape Measure has worked out great for me and my crew while working on making repairs to my garage. I really like that I can measure long distances by myself without the tape bending or needing a second person to hold it. The large print is also a plus. I old and tired eyes still see okay but I’m not 21 anymore so I appreciate any feature that helps me in any way. Great quality product that will last my lifetime.

So I have to get into tiny crawlspaces, and sometimes measure vertical pipes that go for 20 ft straight up. It’s kinda hard to measure with a flimsy tape but this one makes sure it stays strong until I can measure. I really like the smoothness and how rugged it’s built, which guarantees it’s not going to break easily

This is another quality product from Milwaukee. This tape measure comes in a sturdy rubber frame with a great innovative feature-a strong belt clip. Some more highlights of this are that the numbers are large and easy to read and printed on both sides which is valuable in itself for work and makes measuring at angles so much easier. Also, the anti tear coating on the first six inches of the measure blade is a great innovation. I also appreciate the finger stop feature which works with just slight finger pressure. Another great Milwaukee tool. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice measuring tape. I love that it has super large number, it makes Measuring something less of a chore. I have a hard time being able to see the smaller numbers printed on the average tape. I normally end up frustrated because I have to find a clever way to get the correct number in order to be accurate. I regularly doubt my measuring skills do to the visual conflict. Measuring with this tape measure has allowed this task to again become a one man task rather than two for me. Very stable and easy to use very happy with this wide blade.

Typically respecting the Milwaukee brand, I purchased 2 of these as gifts from HD dot com for gifts. Waited till the eve of the 23rd to open the box so I could wrap them. That is when I saw the 14’ standout on the packaging and remembered seeing 17’ in the on-line description. I thought I must have received old stock so I went to 3 different stores and they all had the same packaging. Went back to the .com and looked up the item. 17’ reach and Milwaukee’s site stated the same. So I called Milwaukee and found out something interesting. I did receive the most current packaging but here lies the devil in the detail. 14’ standout is how far you can extend the tape from the dispenser before it “snaps” and drops to the ground. 17’ reach is that 14’ standout when holding the tape measure with your arm extended. Apparently Milwaukee chose this 17’ reach in their description to align themselves with how the competition is selling their tape measures. Pfft…BTW, I extended both measures out and they snapped at a little over 12’. The next thing marketing will tell me is that standout is extending the measure out at a 70deg angle upwards…If this sort of thing is important to you make your purchases accordingly.

This is a great tape. With the wide construction, I can extend the tape 15 feet in the air horizontally before it gives. Try that with a regular tape. The wide tape also affords for larger text making it easier to read. It is built with high quality materials as you would expect from a Milwaukee product. This is now my go to tape especially when I am working by myself and need to make some long measurements.

This tape measure by Milwaukee has a good weight to it. It is solid! The standout is sturdy and I’ve been able to get it out to about 13 ft before it bends. The end hook or grip is 2 sided so I don’t ever extend it and then have to try flipping it over to grip whatever I’m measuring because the grip is on both sides which is pretty handy. There is a metal clip on the side to clip it onto your tool belt or bag or just your pants. There’s a window so you can easily hold the tape measure in place without having to lock it or you can use the lock if you prefer. All together the tape extends 25.3/8 ft. It’s about 1.2 wide. The numbers are large and also measure the same on each side. Another bonus. In summary, I give this product 5 stars and I highly recommend it for any job site or toolbox. It would be a good gift as well.
