The Milwaukee 16 ft. Compact Magnetic Tape Measures have up to 15 ft. of reach and a magnet that easily attaches to EMT and steel studs. The tape is wear and impact-resistant with nylon blade protection and an additional anti-tear coating on the first 6 ft. of the blade, reducing tape tear. Built to withstand the jobsite, the compact measuring tapes are constructed with a 5-point reinforced frame for impact resistance. The tape measures feature double-sided printing with blueprint scale allowing users to easily read and transfer measurements, increasing their productivity.

Protective vynil tape on the first 6 inches started catching on the body and ruined it within two days of use. The end sits flush to the body. If you have work gloves on, it’s nearly impossible to get the tape out. 15ft lead out is non-existent too. I’m disappointed in it.

The finger gap that allows you to use your finger to manually keep the tape from retracting is a great time saver from not having to use your other hand to operate the lock

This is THE tape measure to have if you are getting a little grey in the beard like me. I can read this in daily use without having to use my readers. I wear contacts for normal routine, and supplement with readers when needed. Next to impossible outside in the Mississippi heat! This tape features a double sided print, but the back side is vertical read! INVALUABLE when building a deck! Also, the 15′ standout makes it easier than ever to measure when working alone, as I often have to do. The case feels sturdy, and you know you have a handful when you pick this thing up. It isn’t like the cheaper brands that feel like you need to push them back in the case, either. This tape returns home every time. My only dislike is the belt clip, and that is the only thing I would change. But, most of the time, I don’t use the clip, anyway, it goes in the pocket of my tool apron, the seat of the truck, or the back pocket of my overalls. Overall outstanding product.

I have not broke mine as some have however. The wire belt loop is a thinner guage than the 48-22-5516 that I still use because this one has sprung and won’t hold its shape. So I just use in the shop not good for traveling. The magnet is handy but any wind what so ever and it gets squirrely.

I really like it but I do wish it had the fractions printed out like certain other Milwaukee tape measures do.

Milwaukee magnetic tape measures have great features. First the numbers are easy to read and the measurement lines run from one side to the other so in that way accurate reading on both sides of the tape. Also having numbers on the bottom side of the tape is huge. Sometimes you might be in a spot where it is hard to get a read on the top of the tape but not with this tape measure. Best tape measure on the market

This tape handles itself well, only personal criticism is I found the magnet collects fragments of metal if you are around metal shavings. This could result in with an inconsistent measure if butting the end of tape to any surface. Other than that, the tape is well worth the price

Love this tape. The feel, solid, doesn’t droop on you when you’re measuring long distances. The magnetic feature is a huge I’ve already used a bunch of times. You can even find studs or have it attach to a stud for measuring from a wall. The lines are easy to read and the double sided measurements come in handy.
