I love the Milwaukee magnetic tape measure, it’s compact, but still has 26 feet of blade. My favorite feature is the magnetic finger stop that protects from retraction and has the 2 sided printing that makes taking measurements so much easier. I used this to take measurements for my back fence and the double sides made it so much easier to take measurements without the fear of the blade retracting and losing my place.

this tape measure has alot of thoughtful features. some things i liked are the size, it fits well in the hand. the finger cutout on the bottom of the tape measure makes controlling the tape more comfortable and easier. the magnet is a pretty handy. things i dont like include the belt hook, while strong it doesn’t want to clip into a pocket or belt easily so it is as if it doesn’t have one,. another thing i don’t care for is the fact that this thing is a frankenstein of parts from various low quality asian countries. not a single thing on it is american. so quality could potentially vary wildly. none of those are deal breakers but similarly priced options are american made.

I was very impressed, but what I thought was just going to be a simple tape measure. I don’t think I would buy any other cheap measuring tape once I have played with this one. I love the finger hold to keep the tape from running around. I also love the Magnetic tip which will hold itself for a decent distance. It also fits quite well in my hand. On top of this there is a notch for a wrist strap. I felt the construction was high quality and also provided for good grip.

I have a new favorite tape measure. Its a little thick but that is due to the 1 inch wide blade. but it is very compact otherwise. At top of list is the ability to extend out easily 112 inches and the 12 ft as advertised if holding blade with one hand about 2 ft out. This is Great. Has a very strong magnet on end and if you are measuring pipes or metal studs, its like having extra person. It has really neat finger stop on bottom, so that you can control rate of return very easy, no flying back,Also has first 6 inches with protective clear plastic cover. It has a heavy duty case. With the 16 ft length and other features I think this is going to be my go to tape measure.

I have owned many tape measure over the years but none of these had all of the features that this Milwaukee Tape Measure offers. First off, this thing is built like a tank. You definitely know that you are holding something that is built with premium materials. With the impact resistant frame, anti-tear coating and beefy belt clip I am sure this will be the last tape measure that I will need to buy.

When I first picked this up I could tell this thing was tough. It’s not heavy enough that it will be a chore to use, but it’s noticeable so you know that this thing is well built. The standout was just about as stated, and the tape itself is a nice thickness. Being that it’s magnetic was another huge bonus. There’s a lot of nice, simple touches such as the finger grip which makes using this pretty enjoyable. I’m happy this is added to my tape measure collection, and it’s already gotten a bunch of use in the time I’ve had it.

You wouldn’t think that a tape measure is submerging to put up a review on. This one is! It just feels good in your hand. The opening where you can place your finger to stop the tape is a simple revelation. No holding a button, no pressing a lever, just squeeze your finger right where your finger naturally sits on the tape. I’m not a framed or anything so the architectural scale that they put on the measure is lost on me. The magnet works well on bare metal, it stayed connected at 20′ and the tape didn’t buckle either. The fact that they put the measurement of the body of the tape on there is great too

The measuring tape is sturdy against falls and seems well built. It feels heavy in hand, but not too heavy. You can stop the tape with your index finger on the groove, or use the lock mechanism. The tip of the tape is magnetic so you can stick to metal surfaces. It has a belt clip that also feels well built, doesn’t look like it would break. The sliding and rolling back mechanisms both feel well designed. The tape itself is resistant to breaking and has a lifetime warranty. You will enjoy this tape many years to come and keep it handy on your workbench.

This is a nice tape measure. I had to replace another one that was 20 years old. The advertised features all work. The tape measure feels very solid and comfortable in the hand. The tape measure is about 3.5″ tall and 2.35″ wide. The end of the tape has a magnet so it can attach to magnetic metal and hold itself. I really like that the tape has both imperial and metric markings. i was able to extend the tape to the garage floor and back to the ceiling for 9′ of tape. It did not buckle or fall down. The product has a standard tape lock button. It retrieves very quickly too. There is a solid clamp on the side for attaching to a tool bag or pocket. There is also a little hole for attaching a cord (not included) if needed. Very good product.

This is a 26 ft tape from Milwaukee that has the magnetic tip feature. I already have a Stanley 15 feet tape that I use daily. This beast is at least twice as heavy that the Stanley one. The tape itself is thicker too, which I believe helps retaining its shape even if it gets pulled out very long. I especially like the magnetic feature. The magnet is located on the tip of the tape (see picture). So, it will come quite handy if I will measure it against some metal surface or objects. The tip guard is also very solid in place (compared to the loose tip in my Stanley tape which has already caused wrong measurement a few times for me).

This Milwaukee 16 ft measuring tape is really well made and sturdy. The magnet on the end of the tape is so convenient when you’re measuring metal objects or have a metal object you can anchor it to. The belt clip makes it easy to carry when not in use. 16 ft is plenty of length for my needs but you can also get this in a longer length if you need to. The red color makes it easy to spot among your other tools also.A very good product to have around for DIYers and homeowners.

This tape measure is a major upgrade from my old one as it has plenty of enhanced features. First it is compact and I like the rubber moulding as it make it easy to hold. I dropped it from a ladder a few times on accident and it did not get damaged. Second it has a magnetic tip which is a nice feature id you are working with a metal part. Lastly what i like most is that it has the measurements on both sides of the tape. This is really handy if you need to make overhead horizontal measurements. I was installing some bolts in the ceiling of my garage and this feature came in very handy. Plus it has this finger stop feature to hold the tape in place.

A must have for any tool box! This is one of the nicest tape measures that I have ever owned with so many great features. The magnetic tip came in very useful when finishing my basement with metal studs. Other features that make this tape measure stand out from others is the finger stop that allows you to control the retraction speed along with the fact that their are measurements on both sides of the tape. It is also backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Needless to say this will be the tape measure I use for all my projects moving forward.

I got the Milwaukee 16 FT magnetic tipped compact tape measure it has up to 12 FT standout I could get it to 10 FT with no problem at all. It also has inch and metric reading on top and bottom of the tape. I like the wire belt pocket clip easy to clip and easy to remove. I have the wire clip another milwaukee tape I have had for probably two years and its holding up better than the sheet medal clips on other tape measures I have owned. My favorite feature is the finger stop on the bottom front I can let it in slow or stop it any place I want with out having to use the lock.

My new favorite tape measure! As someone who does metalwork, I am extremely pleased with this new style tape measure from Milwaukee. If you are building with any ferrous metals, this is the tape measure to use. First, the build quality is fantastic, with anti tear coating protection on the on the tape, A finger stop, and rubber bumpers on the edges along with thick plastic housing. This feels like a quality manufactured product. There are also some extremely useful features, like a magnetic tip which sticks to any Ferrous metal, Printing on both sides of the tape, and a double-sided end clip Which makes it way easier to get under tight edges. They aren’t exaggerating with the 12 foot Standout. Most people will never use it but it comes in handy to be able to pull tape out and suspend it over longer distances. All in all a great tape measure.

This is the best tape measure that we own. I like to keep one in the house for different projects but my husband loves this one. The magnetic tip comes in handy for a lot of different measurements when doing things alone. It has a handy thumb lock, a belt clip and something I haven’t seen on other tape measures, a place underneath to place your finger to control the speed of retraction. It has measurements on both sides as well which is something that you don’t see often on tape measures. There is a coating on the bottom side of the first 6 inches that will protect it from a lot of the normal wear and tear that we see on tape measures. The description states that it will maintain a 15 foot reach and I can vouch for that. We tried it out under different circumstances and it exceeded all claims. Often I will be on a ladder trying to measure the distance to a wall or other surface and the measure bends on me which is very aggravating. The soft rubber grip and casing will protect it during drops also. This is a nice tape measure that I think anyone would be happy with.

One annoying feature about this tape measure is that the hook and blade have some wobble room in its default state. That is, when you haven’t extended your tape, the hook will shift up and down easily if touched/pushed by anything. That being the case, the hook does not hang below the tape’s frame – or even when it does, if you try to hook your finger into it to extend the tape, you’ll often accidentally push the hook up, then your finger won’t grab anything. In other words, you have to be slightly careful to actually be able to grab the hook and use this tape measure, or you could use the exposed part on the underside to get it started (but that’s hardly efficient when you’re rapidly measuring things). My coworker has an older model of this tape measure, the blade on his appears to be a sturdier material. On the occasion I pass him my tape measure because he doesn’t have his own with him, he comments that this one is crap. I think it’s not bad overall, but his is definitely better. His also has a larger hook on the end.
