The driver has a spline based pattern, that is becoming common in ratchets, wrenches and other items. See uploaded photo for details. This allows you to use them for not just hex nuts and bolts, but square, 12 point (Torx) and spline fasteners as well. This has some advantages, but a few disadvantages. I have found the spline pattern can make it a little more difficult to remove nuts from a high torque setting. That instance is more rare with a nut driver and lower torques used. The included magnet is more of a factor holding the nuts than locking in the spline.Yes, I mentioned magnets. The nut drovers include magnetic holders. Push a nut into the driver and it holds while you get the driver into position. Then a counter-clock wise turn until you drop into the thread and then start tightening. This is much more useful than I expected. When removing nuts, I need to tap the driver onto a surface to remove the nuts. However, this is common with non-magnetic drivers as well. Note my comments at the end about the price premium for the addition of magnets. The handle design works very well (see uploaded photo). It is circular, with 6 short splines on the handle. This is one of the better ones that I have used. It is not aggressive enough to dig into your hand, but aggressive enough to give the torque needed. I will be looking for a standard screw driver set from Milwaukee, due to my liking of this handle type. The device has a pass through design, to allow common thread sizes for each fastener size. This eliminates the annoyance of the bottoming out that can occur with u clamps and other threaded rod situations. The top of the driver has two nice features, shown in the photo I submitted. Each is color coded. There is also a screen printed size and outline of the hex nut size for the driver. This makes it much easier to visually pair a driver to unknown nut size. It is even more needed, since the driver is not a traditional 6 sized hex design that i and many others are used to comparing. One last feature is the hex shape on the outside of the shaft that would allow you to use a wrench to apply torque.I’m very pleased with this set that is received for free to review. When I looked up the price on the home depot site, I noticed that there is a large price premium for the magnetic feature of this set. Milwaukee offers the same set at Home Depot in non-magnetic, which is a good option if this price is more than your would like to pay. Really, the price (and therefore value) is my only reservation for this set. It is really an elite level quality product for a nut driver. That being said, I really love this set.

Milwaukee quality comes through again! With the design of the heads it will grab the metric or standard size as long as it is close. The heads have a new design, not like a usual socket. Grips like a clamp but I wonder how they will hold up in the long run. Everything else about them is top notch. Tough and several different ways to get a wrench on them for a little more leverage. Christmas gift for me would be the Standard size set! Hint, hint…

The amount of innovation that Milwaukee has brought to the simple nut driver astounds me. No limit on thread length, fits ant fastener I have run across, color coded for easy selection. These are the best!

THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A PERFECT PURCHASE EXCEPT I ACCIDENTALLY GOT THE MAGNETIC (SPECIALIZED) INSTEAD OF THE NON MAGNETIC (HOME USER LIKE ME) AND SO THEY ARE BASICALLY USELESS TO ME AS THE NUTS JUST GET STUCK (MAGNETIZED) IN THE HEAD AND IT IS TOO MUCH HASSLE TO ALWAYS BE PRYING THEM OUT

I really like these drivers. They have not rounded off any fasteners, which is surprising to me with the shape of the head. The design is such that it can accommodate hex, square, Torx, & spline. The head is also magnetic which I think is really great & incredibly helpful. Who likes dropping small fasteners, right? Another nice feature is that the shaft of the driver is hexagonal & thus can have a wrench used to tighten/loosen fasteners if needed. The handle is rubber over plastic which is fine with me. The sizes are clearly marked & easily readable on the top of the handle. Really a nice set, albeit very expensive.
