I have always used a utility knife to cut around the cable but at this price I decided to purchase this tool. It’s light weight and very simple to use. Just squeeze to open, then slide the cable through to the desired length and release. I go around once. The blade is adjustable for different cables, so I make sure inspect the wires inside to make sure I’m not cutting to deep. If you nick the wires inside adjust and try again. I would recommend.
