This set of locking pliers is a must-have for every tool box or tool board. I chose the curved jaw set because they are more versatile for me. It allows me to grab and hold pipe or round objects that the flat jaws can’t do. I don’t find that the curved jaws are any less effective on clamping flat material together. In fact it is probably stronger because there is pressure applied at a focused point.The pressure adjusting tab in the handle is superior to the old thumb screw and allows you to increase the pressure with a screwdriver.

Works well for a specialized application…………………………………………………….This is an unbiased review that is unaffected by the fact that I received this product for free. As proof of impartiality, just click on my nickname and see the average of the ratings I have given over 200 reviews to date.This kit includes two pliers, 7″ and 10″. The 7″ size can accommodate round stock of 7/16″ minimum and the 10″ pliers can accommodate round stock of 9/16″ minimum. You will not be able to grip anything smaller with much efficiency because of the concave jaw design. These are made for round or square stock, like water pipes or metal tubes, nuts and bolt heads. They are not very effective on flat stock.The tools have a handy screwdriver slot that can be used to turn the adjuster. But I do not find that feature particularly useful. The main leverage with setting locking pliers is always with the use of the locking lever which provides the mechanical advantage. The adjuster screw does little to increase the force after the tool is locked. If you want more force, just release the pliers handle, readjust the screw and reset the handle.I do like the way the adjuster screw and main body are designed to prevent the locking handle from slipping out of the main one. You must first unscrew the adjuster almost all the way before the handle can be removed from the main unit. I always found the other brand pliers weak in that respect because the handle could always slip out just by releasing it.All parts, including the spring, appear to be made of steel.These tools are made in Taiwan.

These Milwaukee 7 in. and 10 in. Curve Torque Locking Pliers are as heavy duty hand tools as I’ve ever owned. The construction, finish, locking performance and durability is outstanding and Typical of Milwaukee’s commitment to professional tools that redefine the genre!If you need to apply an extreme amount of torque holding power, the innovative thumb screw adjustment allows me to add the extra leverage while gripping the work piece, not grip-unlock-adjust-regrip-unlock-adjust…etc, like I have to do with all of my previous locking pliers! I also appreciate the very wide opening jaw set and holding serrations of the jaw design, very useful and strong. Overall, these represent the high quality and well engineered features I’ve come to expect from the Milwaukee hand tool offerings…Simply the Best!!

I have been a builder remodeler for 49 years, and as such I have many opportunities to use a tool like these 7 IN. AND 10 IN. CURVE TORQUE LOCK LOCKING PLIERS SET (2-PIECE). These tools are of high quality, and they work very well for work requiring a tight grip like these give. Milwaukee tools are always of high quality as well, so these are a very good example of that.

MILWAUKEE DOES IT AGAIN. Superb quality and design in these Torque Lock tools. The 7″ locks on a flat piece 1 5/8″ thick and the 10“ up to 2″. AND a little larger on a round or hex piece making them truly MAXBITE tools. I REALLY like the thumb screw with the screwdriver through-hole design because I can insert a screwdriver blade and spin the adjusting screw much faster for really quick adjustments AND after I locked as hard as I could squeeze and was able to make it even tighter using a strong 10″ screwdriver to crank another half turn. After that it was impossibly hard to unlock UNTIL I used the screwdriver to reverse the tension. A fantastic set that I proudly added to my other Milwaukee tools.
