I love these pliers! I replaced my old worn out one with this and have not been disappointed. It is well made and solid. I look forward to many more uses with this and to show it off in my collection. The grips are firm and I don’t even see a risk of them being loosened over time. The teeth are cut well and it sticks easily to anything to bite. The locking mechanism is simple and does not move when properly secured.

This is a nice pair of locking pliers. All i had to do to get them out of the package was cut the zip tie and i could then pull them out of the package. The grip is very comfortable to hold and seems well attached. What makes these pliers exceptional is the ability to torque with a screwdriver post bite. This feature allowed me to be able to hammer the material against cast iron without it moving. I am impressed

The Milwaukee Brand, 7 in. Torque Lock Straight Jaw Locking Pliers with Durable Grip make a great companion to the Milwaukee Durable Grip Torque Lock curved jaw locking pliers. Curved jaw pliers work well for holding round objects, while straight jaws work best for me holding or clamping nuts and bolts or clamping sheet metal pieces, even when pulling nails or staples. Unlike locking pliers with a release lever that can sometimes spring open uncontrollably, I like that the Torque Lock pliers can easily be released with one hand, eliminating the busted knuckles that locking pliers are known for. The thumbscrew adjustment works easily for setting the adjustment just right over the knurled nut common with other brands of locking pliers. The larger and broader size of the rubber grip makes the pliers more comfortable to use, especially in cold weather or when outdoors when the sun can heat tools so warm, they are uncomfortable to hold. For my projects or on the job, locking pliers are my “Third Hand.” Given tight spaces or just plain holding or gripping something when both hands are needed for something or someplace else, locking pliers cannot be beat.

My husband loves these. They are extremely strong and the cushioning on the handles makes them comfortable to use as well as they grip in your hands and do not slide out like all metal ones can. The construction is very good, the size is just right. The holding mechanism is very powerful so these jaws, once locked, have a multitude of uses for a variety of jobs. This is a very well made tool.

This is a high-quality torque lock! The rubber grip is thick, soft, yet durable, and very comfortable. The grip also has a groove pattern, which helps prevent hand slippage when applying pressure to the handle when gripping or tightening. The connecting spring is made of a thick-gauge metal and will last over time and repeated usage. The tool’s strong metal coating should provide additional durability and protection from rust, scratching, etc.The tightening screw head allows easy tightening by thumb. The tightening screw head also has a unique loop design that allows really strong, hard tightening by leveraging a screw driver and twisting clockwise inside the head. The tool has a very hard, tight grip but also releases very easy when the small hand grip is pulled. The locking teeth metal is very strong, so use the torque lock on medium or hard material objects or use a protective cloth for softer material objects.

This PARTICULAR set of pliers is like a “Needle Nose” set of locking pliers compared to the more common type jaw one finds on locking pliersThese are a great pair of locking pliers. As expected from Milwaukee, this is a high quality tool comparable to the competition. What makes this tool superior to the competition is the “thumb screw” adjustment feature. Besides being easier to use, it also allows one to add more torque in certain situations due to the hole in it for a screwdriver. While not functional, the red color is a “nice touch”For some needs I have, I find this needle nose type allows me to get into some tight places. It also has a “longer reach” than the common jaw type which is also good in certain scenarios. This 7″ model is a very handy size as well..This is a great addition to any tool box at a reasonable price. Another Milwaukee Winner….

This extremely well designed set of locking pliers has a “vice-like grip” with heavy duty jaws. The inner locking lever doesn’t seem to be prone to sliding out like in many other locking pliers. The well made rubber coated grip is unlikely to wear loose since it seems like an integral part of the handle. The jaws can be tightened by hand using the thumb screw or can be tightened down even more by using a flat screwdriver as a lever through the hole. Plus you can’t go wrong with the Milwaukee brand since they are well known for dependability and their hand tools have a limited lifetime warranty.

First of all, you can’t go wrong with anything from Milwaukee …that’s why professional tradesmen always seem to use this brand. These locking pliers have nice rubberized handles for a strong, comfortable grip. This may not be necessary for the average DIYer, but if you’re someone who uses locking pliers throughout the day, you’ll appreciate the extra comfort. They also have a unique feature called “Torque Lock,” which allows you to do the fine tuning of the lock by inserting a screwdriver into the adjustment screw for extra turning power …most other locking pliers have a knurled dial, but these can sometimes be difficult to grip and turn when you really need to tighten down the lock. A nice innovation on some nice locking pliers.

I have always loved my locking pliers. They are able to grab onto just about anything and provide good force in trying to turn or hold unto any nut, bolt, or other item. These pliers take all the good aspects of the old design and add new and improved features to make the pliers better yet. The grip is great, allowing for more force to be used and less chance of slipping. The adjustment screw is much easier to use than the old fashion bolt type one. This allows for quick and precise adjustments. The teeth of the pliers are deeper which allows for a better grip on the item you are working on. I would highly recommend this set of pliers if you are looking for a locking plier that will last and perform for a lifetime.

Great set of locking pliers. These are the straight jaw ones to compliment the curved jaw ones (should have both). These things are built like a tank. I would say even better than the old original “Vise-Grip”s that I still have from my grandfather. Forged and stamped construction with a welded hardened jaw. Nicely machined surfaces with a rust preventative coating. Textured plastic on the grips and a great feature for tightening which Milwaukee calls “Torque Lock”. You can use it to tighten the grip more after closing with a screwdriver or other tool instead of trying to squeeze it closed while over tightened. Much easier on the hands and tighter too.

The Milwaukee Straight Jaw Locking Pliers are absolutely wonderful. The torque grip allowed me to use the tool worry free. Once they are locked on there is absolutely no slipping off until you release it. They are engineered for greater leverage and control. The chrome handles are rubber covered to offer a comfortable better grip. The tool has a limited lifetime warranty which for me is another plus. I love this tool and do recommend.

This is not your traditional pair of vice-grips. These are a bit better in my opinion. This has an adjuster with a flat head with a hold so you can fine tune you grab while the pliers are locked. I’ve used both a screw driver through the hole as well as an adjustable wrench for when I needed extra torque. This does not have that little lever that other grips have to help release it’s lock. but you can also use a wrench or screw driver to loosen the wrench to release the lock. It seems fairly strong and has excellent grip. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a locking wrench. It’s more versatile in my opinion and easier to adjust on the fly.

This pair of pliers has a comfortable grip, and a great bite. The teeth are deep and sharp, and is solid enough to clamp down hard. On the other end, if you’re working with shafts or finish work that you need to clamp down, but not scar, these might not be the tool to use. The teeth are sharp enough to damage high-tolerance/low-clearance parts. All-around a great addition to a toolbox or truck.

These pliers are compact and very capable with great locking force. The beefy jaws are parallel when they are about 1/2 inch apart but can be opened to almost one and half inches. When gripping smaller objects the jaws are not parallel but that is not a problem as the force is delivered by the ends of the jaws. There is no release lever, but none is required, just open the handles and the over center design releases the grip easily. The adjuster screw is made of plastic and I was concerned that it might break, but after using it I realized that it is designed to be used to set the jaw size prior to clamping, so it will always be under compression. The over center clamping design provides a great mechanical advantage giving a strong gripping force with little effort. Releasing the grip is also easy and can be done with the third finger, so all operations except adjusting the tool can be done with one hand.

These pliers are exactly the quality I expected and I couldn’t be happier with them. They’re easy to adjust, even with gloves on, and lock in place easily and firmly. The handles are comfortable and provide tons of grip. The 7 inch size is great for working in tight spaces but still big enough to tackle larger projects. I’d definitely recommend this set of pliers
