Used to cut chain link fencing. went through like butter. Selected this one due to wider mouth opening and better leverage over smaller model.

Works Great! Wish I had bought one years ago. Used it to cut a lot of rebar and metal cattle panels. It is much better than using a hacksaw or metal grinder.

The Milwaukee 30-inch Bolt Cutter with 1/2 inch maximum cut capacity is a brute of a tool. This tool weighs 13 lbs. and is 31 1/4 inches long when closed. When I first received the tool, it was very hard (stiff) to open and close, so I slightly loosened all 5 bolts on the head so they were snug but not super tight. This loosened it up to work comfortably without taking away its solid feel. This bolt cutter can be used to cut padlocks, hardened chain, rebar, wire, bolts, chain, chain link fence, and guy wire to name a few uses. The blades are made of forged steel and the handles are made of hollow steel with rubber grips on the handles. Each handle has a hole so you can put a rope, lanyard, or tether through it if needed. The Milwaukee 30 inch bolt cutter has a Lifetime Warranty and is Made in Taiwan and China.

Works great. Could open wider, but it did cut fencing.

The Milwaukee 18 inch bolt cutter offers very good leverage considering the 1/4 inch jaws. The handles are solid, and the end handle holds are easy to grasp, with a very good grip. While the jaw settings and closing adjustment are available, I found the initial factory settings enable a good range of material access into the jaw opening. Given the size of the tool, it’s weight is noticeable due to the material it is constructed of and job it is intended to do. All and All, would recommend this bolt cutter as a very good addition to your tool box.

I discovered two of my locks were not exterior locks. I broke the key in one of them. These cut right through them

I bought this tool to cut the springs of a king side mattress in small pieces. I made many cuts. The frame wire was hard. With this tool it was very easy. And after many cuts it is still like new. Worth the price.
