Nice that the handles extend for more leverage.. and short enough to get in the tight spaces.. another well made product from Milwaukee

The handles on this bolt cutter extend from 18″ to 24″ which will give you substantially more cutting power, something greatly appreciated now that I’m older and no longer as strong as I used to be. The easiest way to extend the handles is to hold it with the cutting blades down and turn the gripper – the weight of the head will drop the handles to their full extension. The mouth of the cutter will open to a maximum of 3/4″ to accept cutting material up to 1/2″ in diameter. I tried it on several kinds of metal and with no problem I was able to cut a car key, chain link, the shank of a Master Lock, a link from a tow chain and 1/4″ rebar. I needed to use the extended arms to cut all but the chain link & car key (keep in mind I’m a 60 year old woman – a stronger person wouldn’t need the extension). At the end of each handle is a reinforced hole so you can hang them up.The cuts are clean and smooth.

Milwaukee 14 in. Adaptable Bolt Cutter with Powermove is a well made tool. The real feature for this design is its length closed is 14-inches and has the ability to extent the length up to 17-inches for more leverage which is what Milwaukee calls, Powermove. I’ve got a pair of large garden lopers that do this, too and its a great idea. Each handle is really two pieces with one part sliding into the other part and then locks in place. Here it extends the length by three inches which makes more of a difference in leverage than it seems. The mechanical advantage is from where the tool hinge is located high up and with a longer handle, has more force. The blade is hardened forged steel for strength and is less massive than others I’ve owned and used. Its about three pounds in weight. The maximum opening is 5/16-inch. I have a 48-inch set of cutters, that’s a monster, but is impractical to take around because of its size and weight. This one I’ll quickly put in my trunk in case its needed. Milwaukee makes quality tools and this one should last.

Powerful bolt cutters with great leverage. Cut through just about anything that fits. You can extend the cutters about about 30% more about the already 24″ inches. The extension makes the cutters easier to store and carry. The part that twists stays with the handle. The extension feature is stable when in compression. I don’t feel any slop. However the handles do rotate a little. It isn’t a problem but does fee a little funny.I received this 24 in. Adaptable Bolt Cutter with Powermove for free to write this review.

These are solid bold cutters, having no trouble cutting through nails or bolts or whatever I’ve thrown at them so far. They have comfortable handles that easily extend to give you additional leverage if you need it. Otherwise, they fold down small enough that you could put them in a fairly small tool box. Alternately, they have holes in the handles from which you can hang them in the garage or your shed. A good tool to have around.

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival Milwaukee’s 24″ adaptable bolt cutter to finish up my home project. And like my previous Milwaukee tools I have not been disappointed. To date I have not encountered a piece of metal this tool cannot cut through. The arms of the cutter can be extended out to provide 30% more cutting power. The grips are well padded and provide excellent protection to the palm of your hands. Both handle ends have a small hole through them to allow you to hang the cutter up on your tool wall for easy storage. See attached photographs. Well done Milwaukee!

This is an excellent bolt cutter with a capacity of one half inch. I tested it on rebar and it was easily up to the task, although for that I extended the handles to their maximum extent. For smaller diameter cuts I was able to use the cutter without extending the handles. With the handles retracted this tool was just small enough to fit in my large tool box.The cutter is manufactured to the high standard of quality that I have come to expect from my other Milwaukee tools. It should last a lifetime.

These bolt cutters will handle items up to 5/16″ in diameter. The handles are comfortable for either women’s or men’s hands. If needed, the handles can be extended, with a simple twist, an additional 1.75″ for added power. I used these cutters on wires, rods, bolts, nails, and screws made of steel, iron, brass, and aluminum and had no problem cutting through any of them. There is a hole at the end of the handles for hanging the cutters.

The Milwaukee 14 in. Adaptable Bolt Cutter with Powermove is a tool I don’t need often, but becomes invaluable when it’s specialty service is called on. I’ve owned a 14″ bolt cutter for the past 30 years, but always seemed to struggle with the force needed to make a maximum cut on harden steel. These cutters from Milwaukee, with their adjustable handles that give 3″ More Leverage and power, get the task done easier and quicker! The bolt cutter is Well built, has easy knurled knob adjustment sleeves, comfort grip handles and should last a lifetime!

Powerful bolt cutters with extendable handles for more power. The handles have rotating collars that unlock and extend the handles to 3 positions. When fully retracted the cutters are about 15″ for easy storage. When fully extended it gives more mechanical advantage. The cutter head pivots are solid and keep the blades inline. The handles are cushioned and comfortable to hold. Easily cut 1/4″ bolts.

The Milwaukee 48-22-4114 14″ adaptable bolt cutter is very well made and cuts up to 5/16″ bolts efficiently. The expandable arms are easy to adjust to extend them for increased leverage. I like the comfortable handle grips and the tether hole in each handle. The forged steel blades cut very well. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

I like these milwaukee bolt cutters due to their extendable handles. It makes them fit in a standard size tool box better. However, you can extend the handle to get the extra leverage needed to cut through a tough bolt or padlock.

There is no doubt this 24″ bolt cutter with 6″ extendable arms is an improvement over a 24″ bolt cutter. The only problem while cutting 3/8″ rebar is there was no one in my crew willing to trade the extra power of the 36″ model to use this extendable handeled cutter. I’m afraid it’s a situation if there is no choice but a 24″ cutter, would the extra six inches of this cutter matter. The average concrete worker will not even pick up a bolt cutter smaller than 36″ for any bolt cutting they do. I do not want to give the impression these cutters do not work on rebar, they do work! The only problem is the cuts take either strength or leverage. Bigger is definitely better when it comes to repeated cuts in any metal bar stock.

Used bolt cutters to cut the springs of mattresses I needed to dispose of so the would fit into a dumpster.

They are very well made and the extending arms are a great feature. Can’t speak to longevity but they have a lifetime warranty.

Fantastic 14 inch adaptable bolt cutter with power move! This bolt cutter has more power and maximum versatility, it has power move extendable arms, which gives you 30 percent more cutting power. Maximum cutting capacity is 5/16 inch and the maximum hardness is 48HRC. I used these for cutting round cold rolled steel rods for crafts, this tool made it easy and faster than cutting with a hacksaw. The handles has a comfortable easy grip, hands do not slide off. Holes in the handle to attach tethers.

This small bolt cutter is a great addition to any tool chest or second tool bag. The handles extend easily in two stages with a part turn. It fits in a standard bag and works great for smaller diameter bolts or wire in the compact position and cuts 5/16 inch bolts easily with the handles in the extended position. The handles are comfortable and have a good gripping area and a nice grommet hole allows rigging a carry lanyard. The Milwaukee quality jaw promises long life.
