Quality sees a little lacking as far as they feel like the handles wount last long. Cheap and plastic.

I have not used these bolts cutters a lot yet but worked well on what I have used them for

This is a cool set of bolt cutters. The extending handles are nice to give you some extra torque while keeping them compact for storage. They are built with the typical high quality you expect from Milwaukee. The handles have multiple locking positions and easily adjust. This is a good size for the jobs I need form for like cutting 1/8 steel cable for rigging. You can’t go wrong with these. Another quality product from Milwaukee. Love the design on these.

Powerful bolt cutters with extendable handles for more power. The handles have rotating collars that unlock and extend the handles to 3 positions. When fully retracted the cutters are about 26″. When fully extended this is 32″ long and the added handle length it gives more mechanical advantage. The cutter head pivots are solid and keep the blades inline. The tip opening is 3/4″ and the pivot opening is 1/4″. The handles are cushioned and comfortable to hold. This is a heavy duty bolt cutter that easily cut a 3/8″ bolt.

Impressive! This tool puts my old bolt cutter to shame! My old cutter had thin arms and weighed about one half of what this one does. Weight isn’t the only advantage this 24” cutter has, however. The hand grips are very comfortable to hold. What I think is the biggest feature are the extendable arms. Twist the round knobs just above the grips in the indicated direction and you can add 6” of length to the arms, making it a 30″ bolt cutter. Milwaukee says that this gives you 30% more power. I don’t know how they measure it but if you understand that a longer lever arm gives you greater mechanical advantage, you get the concept of POWERMOVE. For soft /medium materials, the maximum capacity is 7/16”. For hard materials, the maximum capacity is 5/16”. Milwaukee also thought about what to do with this tool once you’re finished using it. They have holes at the end of each hand grip so you can attach a tether or place it on a wall mounted hook. This bolt cutter has a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. By the way, the description of the bolt cutters says that it weighs 6.4 lbs but my scale says 7.8 lbs.
