Not the same snips we have been buying. Must have been a change. Not as good as old design. These appear to be the same as Wiss snips. Old design was better.

RE: Milwaukee Bulldog Aviation SnipsRecommended for every toolbox, no matter DIY’er or Pro. You can’t go wrong with Milwaukee tools. The grips are a textured rubber and offer firm grip, but also comfortable. In addition to the usual sheet metal, they’re also useful for cutting larger guage wire and even some wire shelves. These snips are reasonable priced and I definitely recommend them.

I love these snips. Not only do they look great (love the red and yellow) but the rubber handles feel great in my hands and are easy to hold and operates smoothly. For continuous use this really helps. The forged blades are strong and chromed to last long, the lock is easy to use and the lanyard hole is great for anyone working in high locations. It cuts up to 22ga stainless and 18ga rolled steel. I am using mine right now on metal window flashing and it cuts very straight with little deformation on the thin steel. Highly recommended for home or professional use.

I work in the HVAC field and have a lot of experience using snips. Bulldog snips are primarily used to cut layered sheet metal and s-locks as used in duct work. The Milwaukee bulldogs I bought are well built and work great. I especially like the chrome plating on the blades to prevent rust which most other snips do not have. Another feature I like is the flush locking bolt that holds the blades together. I can see these lasting a long time. Highly recommended.

These bulldog snips are well thought out and provide a nice, easy, and crisp cut. What I like:• It’s Milwaukee. They are well known for outstanding products and they stand behind them.• It’s very easy to hold and use with minimal hand fatigue. Good grips.• Because the pivot bolt is flush is does not get in the way of your cuts which is something that is unacceptable when that happens.• Forged blades are sharp and strong. • The bolt lock is easy to use with one hand and it does not stick or get hung up.• The price is pretty good for this. I spent more in the past for what ended up being lower quality snips from other manufacturers. What I don’t like:• I could not find a thing wrong with this product. Overall quality is very good. These are good snips. I can’t imagine how these won’t satisfy the vast majority of users. I fully recommend.

The snips came very sharp. I liked the idea that I can cut metal without leaving sharp burs. The handles are soft enough to be comfortable yet strong enough to allow me to get a firm grip on thicker metals. They seem to be make of high quality steel. I like the fact the material is chrome. My previous cutter was ‘Chinese steel’ steel that rusted. The clippers are held together strongly so the blade come loose.

As an intermediate level DIY, I occasionally need to cut metal and aluminum sheet with hand snips, and often cut metal wire and electrical wire (see picture). Sometimes, an electricians wire-cutter will work for some of the metal and electrical wire cuts, which for heavier gauges, usually requires a two-fisted squeeze to complete the cut. But these snips worked much better and with less effort. I was able to cut small gauge wire shelving, and 12-3 electric wire using one hand with these Bulldog snips. Although I haven’t cut sheet metal with these snips just yet, I can see that as I make my way through the sheet, the narrow throat and slender jaw will let me make those cuts without having the sheet get caught up at the jaw.The rubber grips on the handles were comfortable, with holes in each for a lanyard or to hang the snips on a peg. The jaws can be conveniently locked with one hand (see picture). These snips create a good deal of leverage by coupling a small jaw with handles that are widely-spaced apart, Although I found it a bit challenging for my small hands, to grasp both handles for a larger cut (see picture) – it did the job. These snips offer a powerful option for hand cutting metal, and I think they are a good value. I would recommend them.

Milwaukee has been putting out some nice pairs of snips in recent years, and these are no exception! The grip is nice and easy on your hand, which if you have done any metal cutting, you know how important that is. The short length on the shears makes it easier to do close detailed cuts. The quality of the material in these snips is easily seen and felt from the first time you pick it up. Having a flush bolt on the pivot is a nice touch and a big advantage over the brand of snips that I used to use.

Works awesome for cutting stronger gauges of metal, but please don’t use it for wire they are not meant for that, will never work with metal again that’s what they are for
