Cut more metal than ever with Milwaukee Aviation Snips. The forged blades deliver up to 10X more cuts than cast blades. Bolt Lock prevents the blades from loosening and a durable chrome plating provides rust resistance. A metal lock secures the tool for storage and easily operates with 1 hand. It is difficult to appreciate the design of these tin snips until you have used them. Unlike regular snips, the handle (and your hand) are not between the two pieces of your cut. The tool is above (or below) the metal, allowing for quicker and more precise cuts and less potential injury to your hands from sharp metal. Of course, you will need both a right and left tool for cutting different directions, just like the regular design of snips. These have a slight serrated edge, which seems to help grab the metal and keep it from slipping. These feel great in the hand with a comfortable grip and appear to be very well constructed. A must-have if you do much sheet metal work.

If you have ever cut any sheet metal work longer than a few inches, two things become abundantly clear. One is that you hand gets sandwiched between the already-cut sections of metal before you have completed the cut. And the other is that you need a right turning snips for right curves and an left turning snips for left curves. This design eliminates the problem of your hand and the tool becoming wedged in the cut. It is operated above the metal that you are working on, completely out of the way. An added bonus is that you can get in to tighter locations since you don’t need to be lined up perfectly. You need a much smaller working area in the plane of the sheet metal. Safer, quicker, easier. You still need both a right and a left cutting snips, but if you value your time, then this design is a money saver all around. Good for people working in the HVAC trade, installing gutters, metal roofs, metal siding and trim, and a host of other areas.

At first i thought that a pair of LEFT CUTTING RIGHT ANGLE SNIPS was a joke, like turn signal fluid, but these little babys are incredible – they let me cut thru heavy tin with out being put in harms way! I can cut straight thru the metal with out the hand ever coming near the sharp metal edges – this is sheer genious redesigning the angle of the snippers them selves to keep your hands above the work material below! THANK YOU for helping make this a much safer chore to accomplish!

Milwaukee tin snips are fast becoming a favorite of mine, even though I’ve preferred Midwest for years.1. Handles are large and easy to grip, so leverage is excellent2. Cut is precise, and corners can be made with ease. Very clean edge! Blades transition forward very smoothly in the steel3. Thumb lock is unobtrusive, and simple. After running these snips for a month, I don’t think I accidentally locked them while in use once. Beats the heck out of Malco.4. Bottom blade and trough sit relatively low, so you don’t have to worry about getting them caught when pushing forward.Only downside I can think of is that these snips are taller than the Midwest upright, so they don’t fit as well in small bays when you’re on top of a trunk adding takeoffs.

These snips are awesome! I have been looking for a better set of cutting snips that wouldn’t get bogged down after about 12″ of cutting and THESE ARE IT! The design of these snips seem a little weird at first, however they perform great! Your hands are never exposed to sharp edges of just cut metal. They feel very well made in your hand. Would recommend to anyone!

I have several pairs of Milwaukee snips. And I admit I am a Milwaukee fan – love their stuff. For most people, the straight, left and right cutting snips will handle most of their needs. However, if you need to cut a work piece in place, work in tight spaces or have to work overhead, these can come in really handy. I find that once I have the right tool for a job, that tool will get used more than I ever anticipated. Having the right tool saves me a lot of aggravation – which when you stop to think about it is the real cost benefit. Unless you use them every day, they will likely last you a lifetime and make those frustrating jobs so much easier. These things are the same great quality of my other Milwaukee snips. They feel good and solid in your hand and the chrome moly blades give a nice clean deliberate cut. No regrets and no more mangled edges!

your e-mail and web version of e-mail re: this survey do not function correctly. I cannot completeproperly. Since ‘it’ does let me type in here, I’ll say: the snips are great, wish I had ’em 40 yearsago. Oll Korrect (OK).

What a great invention! I have owned tin snips that cut curves to the left and right for many years but when I saw this I had to have it. It is invaluable in trimming metal in tight places and around corners. It takes a little getting used to but it is very intuitive to use. They cut very cleanly, although the length of you cut may be limited by the pliers itself when cutting around a corner. This is not much different than the right or left curve pliers. It is certainly not a negative feature. Every tool box needs a set of right and left angle snips

A great pair of metal snips, very easy to use and handle, nice man size grips on the handles. Great addition to the tool box, will use them often. Very sturdy and quality made. They work very well on metal roofing and sheet metals of several sizes.I look forward to getting the right hand and the straight snips to replace old worn snips. That will make my work bench complete.

Great snips for tight places. These snips are very well made with easy to hold onto grips and heavy duty forged blades. The jaw lock felt very positive to me and had no trouble keeping the snips locked closed. If you do a lot of sheet metal work on 18ga. of less these are a good addition to your tool box. I had no trouble at all cutting through the 20ga. hot rolled sheet metal I routinely for my replacement body panels. Several configurations of snips are a must for your tool box and these snips are priced right for the high quality you get.

If you have a need to make cuts in a difficult to reach location such as ductwork or installing a after-market furnace humidifier this is the perfect set of snips to have. Nothing else will work as nicely other than a angle grinder and that’s if you can find a thin kerf blade however this also poses other issues. This Milwaukee branded right angle snip is a quality hand tool which will last many years given reasonable care and works perfectly. The head is forged unlike the other junk cast heads and even has serrated cutters allowing these snips to quickly cut through both thick and thin ducting. These snips allow you to take either aggressive or small cuts or nibbles with minimal edge distortion. Ductwork is now less tedious and even professional looking.

I cut aluminum for fences, and this tool is fantastic! I am always bending my wrists trying to get on top of the fence to cut it and this snips makes everything so much easier. It has serrated cutting edges that cut through like butter. I can cut slivers of aluminum 1/32″ and the metal never folds between the jaws like every other pair of snips that I ever had. Anybody who’s done much work with tin snips will know exactly what I mean, and will love these snips.

GREAT Snips – BUT…These are great cutting snips. The grip is comfortable. With the blades fully open, you need a big hand to reach. The leverage makes it very easy to cut. Cutting something like metal wall studs – they cut like butter. The “but” in this review is the metal safety latch that locks the snips closed. It is conveniently located, and can be operated with one hand – BUT – the latch is too loose on my snips. It will flop open and closed as you tilt the snips. If you hold the snips with the blades down, the latch will fall closed, and when you cut, the latch will catch, and you won’t be able open the blades. To use them, I tape the safety latch up so it won’t fall closed while cutting. I’ll attach a short video showing the “floppy” safety latch. Other than that, I do like these. They cut great, feel sturdy, and hopefully will last a long time. So I have to rate these overall as a good solid “average”.

These right angle (left cutting) snips are designed for a specific use which is to cut sheet metal in tight areas. Pretty much designed for HVAC work on sheet metal ductwork. These are well-made out of quality materials and well-designed for the tradesman in mind fr evevryday professional use. I like the way the grips feel solid and comfortable in my hand. The snips open and close easily and solidly and the jaws cut thin sheet metal easily and cleanly. What’s not to like?

The Milwaukee left cutting right angle snips can be used with the blade up or turned down, for use in tight places. I used these to cut down a door kick plate, although on an open floor I was able to get right over top of the cutting line with good leverage. They have seemed to improve the locking mechanism, others won’t stay closed or are hard to manipulate, these are nice and won’t pop open when you throw them in your tool box. I have also used these to cut heavy banding, better than a knife or scissors. Used them to cut very heavy cardboard to fit recycle bin. So they are not just for metal. Try em !
