Snips work well on 26 vs or lighter gauge metal. For the price they are pretty good.

I have never used offset snips before but now I am a firm beliver on this is all that I will use in the future. This pair has soft ergonomic handles and design that makes them easy to use and provides no strain on the hand, wrist or fingers. The cutting edges are sharp. This cutter is easy to use by my wife. They are light weight and has a locking jaw.

Highly effective IMO for cutting through the flat portions of metal siding.

I had the opportunity to evaluate these great well know brand name snips. Milwaukee brand 45 degree offset right hand aviation snips commonly known a “tin snips”I was happy to see these on the SEEDS evaluation list as my old ones I inherited from my father had finally given up the ghost after a L O N G life in a HVAC shop we owned. The 45 degree is best for material clearance and working in tighter areas. Cuts clean and the forged blades and larger and well designed handles make using it a dream. The tool is made in Taiwan but still carries the Milwaukee 100% Lifetime warranty. p.s I kept my Dads as a family heirloom.

Bought these to replace an old left-cut pair of Wiss snips. These are very high quality and the forged blades are what sold me. They easily cut through some sheet metal duct work and cut through aluminum dryer duct like it was paper. I Highly recommend these.

Should have bought these years ago! And I am a Milwaukee fan – love their stuff. And these offset snips do not disapoint! I have no problem buying tools I need for a job, knowing I will need that tool again. At the end of the day if I use a tool more than a couple of times, it will have likely paid for itself. But for whatever reason I kept putting off getting a pair of left and right hand cutting snips. Why? – its not like they are going to break the bank. Instead I just struggled by with my straight cutting snips. Don’t be that guy! or gal! Unless you use them everyday they will likely last you a lifetime and make those little frustrating jobs where you think you will get by with the straight cutters so much easier. These things are sweet. They feel good and solid in your hand and the chrome moly blades give a nice clean deliberate cut. No regrets and no more mangeled edges!

They work well, I don’t think it’s better than Wiss for a snips brand but they’re better than any generic brand that’s for sure!
