Cut more metal than ever with Milwaukee Aviation Snips. The forged blades deliver up to 10X more cuts than cast blades. Bolt Lock prevents the blades from loosening and a durable chrome plating provides rust resistance. A metal lock secures the tool for storage and easily operates with 1 hand. The 3 in. long cut blade is ideal for long cuts, left or straight. The offset model features a 45° offset handle for clearance over the cut material.

I got these to help with the install of our corrugated steel bathroom accent wall. The snips are accurate and work very well to cut straight lines and also for cutting out things such as wall outlets. The edge is a bit rough but they did cut through the tough steel without too much issue. I was also able to sheer off tiny portions to get the panels to fit on the wall. Overall these work wonderfully for our project.

I’ve always found that Milwaukee tools are really well designed and durable, and this “long blade snips” is no exception, plus it also looks “cool” with its comfortable multi-colored handles. I recently installed an electronic air cleaner on my HVAC system which required some substantial amount of rework to the existing ductwork. I tried out these snips on that project and they worked great. The forged blades are almost 3 inches long so traversing fairly long distance straight cuts was fast and easy. The blades appear to be hard-chrome plated – good for durability and rust prevention. The tool doesn’t have any protrusions to interfere with the cutting operation – nice. Cutting some 20ga (0.9mm, 0.035″) mild steel was remarkably easy. This tool can also cut up to 22ga (0.6mm, 0.024″) stainless steel. The metal lock, that can be operated with your thumb while holding the tool makes unlocking and locking a one-handed operation. This tool was engineered by Milwaukee and is manufactured in Taiwan.

The Milwaukee Long Cut Offset Left Aviation Snips are Extremely well built, very versatile and a superb value for such a quality tool. I really like their long cut blades, that are hardened and very sharp…stay sharp too! 20 gauge sheet metal is no challenge to cut and since this is my first long cut aviation snips, wish I had these in many past situations struggling with cheap, conventional snips.
