CUTS EASILY — Several features of The Milwaukee Long Cut Straight Aviation Snips make cutting through sheet metal easy. The snips have significant leverage which reduces the effort needed to make a cut. The blades are quite sharp. Since the pivot bolt is flush, it does not get in the way when cutting. The ergonomic handle fits the hand comfortably. The snips also have a lock which can be manipulated with the hand holding the snips. These snips are much easier to use than my previous aviation snips. They have a limited lifetime warranty.

I needed something to cut some old aluminum gutters to size for a project. These snips did the job. It did not hang up on the metal, the longer blade made cutting faster and easier, and I liked the on handed metal lock. I also like the color of the handles (red with a yellow band on one) that makes it easy to find. Milwaukee makes good products and I was not disappointed.

Easily Cut Smooth Straight Lines!I used this to cut a 2″ wide by 19″ long strip of .019″ aluminum as shown in the video. The connecting bolts on these snips are flush and therefore do not snag your work as you cut. This allowed me to cut this long strip without it curling up. This occurs with other snips I own when the piece I am cutting has to clear connecting bolts that are not flush. The design of the grips are comfortable and help you maintain control of the snips while cutting. As can be seen in the video I was able to make a long smooth cut with these snips.
