The Milwaukee 12 in. Measuring Wheel was designed for extreme durability, increased ergonomics and productivity. Constructed of reinforced aluminum frames and reinforced folding joints, the Milwaukee measuring wheels are able to withstand the toughest jobsite conditions. Durable locking pivot points help quickly fold the units for transportation and storage. To prevent build-up of dirt and grime that could potentially jam the wheel, the 12 in. Measuring Wheel has also been designed with a Debris-Cleaning Wheel Flap that easily clears away contamination while rolling. In addition, the 12 in. measuring wheel also includes a reinforced kick stand. The pistol grip handles, designed to provide similar ergonomics to that of a power tool handle, fitting the hand of the user better than other wheels on the market. These handles feature a top brake function that can be used to lock the wheel and the reading, increasing accuracy. The 12 in. Measuring Wheel is also designed with a top handle clearing function for easier use, allowing the user to reset for each measurement without bending over.

I measure large quantities of streets and sidewalks for my job. I’ve gone through about 5 of these wheels in the last 10 years. When I saw this one, I had to have it. Just bought it this morning from Home depot, and used it this afternoon. Having the ability to clear it from the handle is fantastic! The swing arm to prop it up on is good. However, it makes quite a bit of noise compared to other one’s I’ve had, and the little handle bangs against the shaft. The one complaint I have is, its somewhat heavy. Which in a way means its built sturdy. But, when I’m not using it, I sling it up on my shoulder. This is going to hurt after carrying it all day. Therefore only 3 stars. Otherwise, it appears to be accurate and the brake feature (which I’ll probably never use) is kind of cool. I do like, that it matches my truck!!

I’ve wanted a measuring wheel for some time, and after getting this one, I don’t know how I got by without one before! This thing is very accurate, and the hand brake allows you to stop precisely on the measurement you want. The large measuring wheel rolls easily over rough ground, allowing for accurate outdoor measurements. This also folds for storage, and has its own kickstand!

Like most other Milwaukee products, this aluminum measuring wheel is well made. There are lots of useful features on this simple tool. For starters, the numbers are large enough to be read without having to get up close. It also comes equipped with a kickstand that allows the measuring wheel to self-stand in rough terrains. The numbers can be reset from the top handle, which is always convenient, and prevents one from having to bend down. The quality of all materials is high. The main frame is aluminum, and other items are made of high quality plastics. The wheel itself rolls well in all kinds of terrains (I tested on dirt grass, rough concrete and rocky terrains). The tool can be folded in half for easy handling and storage. I would recommend this item.

This is a well made measuring wheel, ideal for getting measurements for larger construction projects, like fencing, patios, driveways, electricity, etc… The measuring wheel has a handbrake, and a reset button on the comfortable pistol grip handle, and a large easy to read odometer display that runs both forwards and backwards and measures in feet and inches as well. The wheel folds down and has a handle for easy transport and compact storage when not in use. It has a zero point indicator plumb line to pinpoint your stopping and starting points. The wheel also has a spring loaded kickstand. It makes measuring large distances so much easier than using a tape measure and eliminates the need for a second person to hold a tape measure in place. This tool is a must have for people whose jobs require them to measure longer distances.Great design and features.

This 12″ Measuring Wheel by Milwaukee has been a great tool for me. First of all, it is very well made of high-quality durable parts, it’s very accurate, light-weight and easy to use. I live on 2.3 acres and seem to use it at least once a week for designing raised beds, determining the size tarp I need to cover the wood pile, measuring out an area big enough for my brother’s visit in his huge motor home and many other things. It is such a time saver not to have to use a tape measure. It has a kickstand so you don’t have to lay it down, it folds for small space storage, has a reset button on the top and the measurement numbers are easy to read from a standing position. It also has a debris cleaning wheel flap that cleans the wheel as you roll it which is a great feature because I don’t have to worry about the wheel jamming. I am using this measuring tool more than I thought I would. Don’t know what I did without it! Great tool!

Want to be the talk of the neighborhood, get this for your garage. If you want to know how big your yard is this is a must. I’m very focused when it comes to knowing things about my yard, especially for fertilizing, weed control. I’ve had 3 neighbors borrow it already, mostly to measure their fences for Xmas lights. BTW this wheel seems well made and would even be used for the guy that has job for that use.

Since the boys were young I volunteered as a youth coach and ref for many of their sports as often as possible. As a smaller community we take what we can get when we can get it. Even though the purpose of the Milwaukee measuring wheel is for construction measurements and gathering information such as concrete loads or decking planking, this has certainly come in handy in marking off the large high school basketball courts into smaller courts and taping off the lines and then rolling in the portable stands from storage.I’m sure when it comes time to coach youth soccer and putting out the cones at the local playground or football field, then it certainly is going to be much faster than running out the long tape measure or guessing by pacing it off as I’m no professional golfer.The Milwaukee 12″ measuring wheel is well built. It’s aluminum frame, heavy duty wheel and hard plastic. It is made to collapse in the center and lock down for easy transport. The measurement can be read in inches and feet on the front and top of the wheel. As the wheel moves it adds distance and don’t worry if you need to go back, just pull it backwards and the distance will roll off. It has a brake so you can pick it up and read it anywhere, or move it to another section and then start rolling it again without having to add two separate distances. The odometer can be reset either at the meter or right at the handle, your choice. It even comes with a little kickstand so you can keep it upright on the jobsite or if you need to stop what you’re doing to address a different situation. I believe it’s a very good price for a well constructed, name brand product and something I wish that I had 30 years ago. I have nothing but positive things to say except that for certain applications they could have added a spray can holder so you can mark spots and then store it away, but I suppose you can wire on something yourself.
