These 10 inch cable cutting pliers are heavy duty. They are rated to cut up to 2/0 copper cable and 4/0 aluminum cable and have a non-peel grip. Cuts clean and has a lifetime warranty. Also has rust protection but don’t count on that if you leave them out in the rain. At least dry them off and take care of your tools. The jaws open way wide if you need it to.

This is a solidly constructed tool, fits my hand grip nicely and does an admirable job of cutting electric cable. Before getting this cutting pliers, I resorted to peeling off the jacket of the cable with a utility knife, and then cutting each wire strand separately with a wire cutters. It was a bit time consuming but effective. This tool cut through whole 12/2 and 12/3 cable with a good hand squeeze, although a larger diameter cable will likely require two hands, depending upon your individual hand strength.I did notice that after just two cuts, there was some minor wear showing on the blades (see close-up picture), which makes me wonder how this pliers will wear over a lifetime of use, and whether the Limited Lifetime Warranty will cover replacement of worn sheers. Overall, this is a good time-saving tool that I would recommend to a friend.

Haven’t got to use them yet but they seem to be made of very good quality

hard to cut 2/0 cable due to short handles. Works good on smaller cable, so will keep it. Bought a different brand with longer handles to cut 2/0 cable

Needs longer handles to cut the thickest gauge wire per specs. Nice set for lower gauge wire and romax.
