Decent set of pliers. Quality is top notch and jaws seem to be very durable on the few jobs I have used it.Only detraction is the release button for the slide does stick out more than other brands that have this function . May detract from small confined space use for some.

These second generation hand tools have made several improvements over the previous generation. One is the coating on the metal itself and other is the grip. The comfort grips made the endurance of using the selected tool much easier.

Although the best way to grip a nut or bolt head is to use a socket of the right size, this tool provides almost the same capability in a single tool that works on nuts up to 2 3/4″ across flats. The V jaws grip opposite corners of the nut, rather than gripping the flats as channel pliers or an adjustable wrench does, so there is much less chance of damaging the nut. For best fit these pliers must be correctly set for the nut size and this is accomplished by a gear shaped adjuster that fits between two fine toothed gear racks. This allows for an almost perfect fit.The long handles provide lots of gripping force. The tool is strong enough that I anticipate a long life for it.Two additional features are less useful: a reamer for cleaning burs from the inside of pipes, and a punch for knocking out holes in electrical boxes. Neither task is performed as well as with a dedicated tool, but it is still a nice bonus. Be sure to look at the packaging to see how to use these features.

Milwaukee keeps coming out with quality tools that do what you ask of them, but also have features making them useful in related tasks that do not hinder their original design. By just making the handle and head able to ream conduit or pipe and able to punch knockouts, that eliminates a lot of time and energy from repetitive electrical work by using one tool for multiple tasks. The square head makes holding nuts easy, though for automotive work you may want to stick with wrenches. The handle is comfortable to hold and stays in my hand, and the materials and construction are high quality. It goes to show how good a set of pliers they are when most of the electricians I work with use this set. Despite being aimed toward professionals, homeowners and hobbyists will find this set of pliers easy and comfortable to use with any project they can think of.Highly recommended.
