Not a bad little set of pliers to have around. They are essentially “channel lock” pliers with a semi-circle opening with grip fingers. I maxed them out at the widest setting for a 94mm spin on hydraulic oil filter but they were able to handle it just fine. At the widest channel, all of the fingers still made contact with the filter and reached about half way around the filter.I did need some extra leverage at one point and a cheater bar fits over the grips real nice. (Yes, I am aware that means the filter was on way too tight… take it up with the gorilla at the factory who installed it).The channels were excellent, I never once had it “jump” out of the channels like some of my low end channel locks do.If I could improve them, I would add some sort of “vice grip” style locking mechanism. I lost contact with the filter several times while I tried to readjust my grip and body position. It would have been nice to just leave them clamped on, readjust myself, and then grab them again. Most of the time you need to use a filter wrench it’s because the filter is difficult to get to, on way to tight, or in an awkward position.

I have searched so long for a pair of oil filter pliers that really work and the Milwaukee oil filter pliers really fit the bill. The jaws a open up wide enough to accommodate most filters and the teeth are designed to grip without tearing into the side of the filter and causing other problems. The rubber handle grips are soft and feel good in your hand.

Unusual design is just what I needed for my tough to reach tractor and HD fingers.

I got these for the times when you cannot seem to get a good grip with the standard band oil filter wrench. But these are a well made tool and I can see how easy it would be to find other uses for them. The packaging even comes with a few suggestions also. They do adjust to multiple sizes via a channel lock system. These will be a great addition to my “Specialty” tool box.

I have three cars with three different size oil filters so I needed to keep track of three different wrenches. Two of them are the over the end cap style and they don’t work very well if at all, most of the time they just slip. The one for my pickup does an OK job but wont reduce enough for the others so it is a pain. This new one from Milwaukee fits my needs perfectly,it has great grip and is adjustable from small to large without being to heavy. It has the same great grips like their other hand tools and are easy to clean, adjusting is easy like a set of channel locks, now I have one tool that fits all my oil filters and it works great.Made from forged steel, not cast it looks as good as it works and would be a great addition to any tool box.

This is a well made oil filter wrench with rubber grips and slide joints so it can expand or retract to different size oil filters but you are limited to using this only in a fairly large area even though the wrench is small. The tool is made so that a oil filter won’t get crushed if it is over tightened. This is great to use on all types of lawn equipment with a spin on filter or other engines with a accessible filter.

This tool is alright only. Does not fit very well in small spaces. Just needs more work.

As all my red tools are these were no exception total quality production .comfortable grip that isnt bowed out. I have larger hands so sometimes it’s hard to get the leverage I need in smaller spaces without removing some hide here and they’re lightweight but solid honestly couldnt be happier with these pliers

I was looking for a pair of pliers I could use to remove oil filters on my truck, car, tractor and small engines. Found this tool useful removing under mount water filters as well as repositioning large PVC fittings overall great addition to the old tool box.
