Exactly what you would expect from Milwaukee, a high quality tool with multi-uses that will likely last the rest of your days and beyond.Noteworthy takeaways:• Iron carbide edge for additional lifespan. • I had no issues getting through several different gauges of wire.• Grips are adequate. Nothing special just a solid grip with enough tacky to stay in your hands with or without gloves. It also appears the grips will stay in place. I detest when some other brands have grips that start slipping.• These cutting pliers have several uses including reaming and pulling fish tape.• The tool tension in perfect. Not too loose or stiff.• No quality issues found anywhere on the pliers.• Easy to hold and use with minimal hand fatigue. Well balanced and compact.• Box joint construction helps with control of the tool and keeps the blades aligned.Milwaukee makes a lot of great tools. This is another example. I recommend.

I got these as a integral part of my “traveling” tool kit I keep in our car for any emergencies on the road and to have handy tools available when I visit our children and a quick repair is needed. What I like best about these pliers is how they feel in my hand: they are compact, not too long, but they give me good leverage when I want to snip a wire. They are sturdily made and I expect to have them for a lifetime.

I am not your typical user, I use a lot of “zip ties” for my Halloween and Christmas displays which means I’m constantly cutting them with my diagonal cutters. All of my others are 6″ versions. I was really surprised how much sharper these were than my old ones and the extra 2″ of handle leverage really helps as well. I also really like the bright red handles, it makes them much easier to find when I set them down mid project. I’ve only used them for one season of Halloween set up but so far they are great.

Large & in ChargeThese are probably the largest clippers i own. They easily dwarf my previous “hardy” clippers by at least an inch. This means more leverage for clipping thicker gauge wires, however, it also means that you’ll need bigger hands to adequately grip them.The rubber holds on to the handles quite well, and won’t be slipping off any time soon. The make is solid iron, with a carbide finish. They may eventually rust, but they’ll be sharp and efficient to the end.

Milwaukee has done it fine with this tool, reducing the amount of tools I need to carry for a job. The serrated sloped edge of the cutters works well as a de-burring tool for cut pipes. It even has a plier style clamping to help grab your fish tape and pull it through the pipe, too. One development I really like is how Milwaukee has a flat cutting edge on their wire cutters. This allows you to get right on top of cable ties to clip them. Another time saver that will surely be appreciated over time of use! And speaking of cutting wire, these clippers will cut right through a 10/3 Romex wire bundle!These is a workhorse tool you will be glad to have in your tool bag.

8 in. Diagonal CuttersAs a tool novice, I was not aware of the superior quality reputation of Milwaukee Tools. But my husband clued me in about it. I am the family review writer, and he also let me know how many of his tool collection were Milwaukee, and many were years old, but functioning perfectly for years. As soon as I saw this Diagonal Cutter I knew it was a good choice for my Christmas projects, and the price was great! I want to try my hand at making my own wreath this year, with evergreen clippings from the back yard. I have already put these cutters through several tests, and they cut wire like going through butter!

I really like these cutters. One of the 1st things I noticed was how wide the cutters opened allowing for bigger wires. The cutters feels very sturdy in your hand and the long handle gives you leverage to smoothly cut through appropriate size wire. I tested it on an old extension cord with number 12 stranded wire and it cuts through the cord like butter. For light to medium size wires these cutters will do just fine. They will take care of nearly any electrical work that you may do around the house.

These 8″ diagonal cutters are well made and have a built in conduit reamer that worked well when I tried them on 3/4″ EMT conduit to remove ID burrs. They work well cutting 10 gauge cable and also worked well on 8 gauge. Like many, I have several diagonal cutters but these are quickly becoming my go-to cutters. They are well balanced and comfortable to use and can also be used to grip and pull fish tape giving better leverage than pulling by hand.

The Milwaukee 8 IN. DIAGONAL CUTTERS give me everything I expect from a Milwaukee tool and I have several in the toolbox. The “8 cutters have the rubberized grips and there is 1/2″ area beneath the cutter that is machined for crimping. They even etched a safety warning into the body of the tool itself. I find the 8″ cutters give me better cutting power than my 6” cutters on heavier gauge wire the longer handles provide more torque. Overall I am very pleased with this addition to my toolbox

I have been using these cutting pliers to cut steel wire, metal lath, and clip the ends off of 8d nails in a demolition project. They cut easily and so far nothing has dulled or broken the blades. The blades open and close smoothly. I accidentally arced a 12v battery circuit with them (not recommended) and the insulated handles prevented a shock. The blades cut all the way to the ends for nipping into corners. Very durable construction, good finished metal surfaces, and comfortable dipped handles.

This set of cutters is exactly the quality you expect from Milwaukee hand tools.The machining on these is very precise and the action is very smooth. There are no gaps or uneven edges on these when they close. I already had a pretty good quality set of pliers in long nose, lineman and cutter configurations. But when I saw these Milwaukee versions of them I could not pass up a chance to give them a try given the quality I’ve come to expect from Milwaukee tools. And none of these disappoint.These cutters have a very good edge and are the right size to fit the hand comfortably. Because of the smooth action all your effort is put into getting the job done and not fighting the tool as well. You simply cannot beat these Milwaukee cutters.
