This is a very well designed and constructed channel pliers, with the needs of electricians and plumbers in mind, since the head can be used for reaming burrs on ends of pipes or conduit. The balance and hand-feel are good, and it is obvious that this is a closely machined tool. Better quality than some similar pliers that I have owned, and about par with the more famous brand of this type of pliers. Plastic-coated handles for better grip and easier cleaning, and a “limited” lifetime warranty (whatever that means).Overall I consider these a good pliers for the price and they should last a long time.

I own milwaukee’s Other straight jaw pliers and everyone at work always called the, hunks of metal or a knock out tool, because the always slipped on pipe! These dipped ones on the other hand have way more grip then Milwaukee’s other straight jaw pliers. I would recommend these

These 10 inch pliers open up to a width of two full inches and are still comfortable to grip with my small hands. I chose the tongue and groove over the smooth style because I wanted to be able to grip steel pipe. The coated hand grips help prevent slipping. The length of the handles have allowed me to change hands and even trade off to a helper in the middle of a job. These pliers replace a smaller pair that were just not up to the work load.

These slip joint pliers feel great in your hand while using a good set of padded work gloves. They do a fantastic job on punch outs and reaming out pipes or other metal holes. These were fantastic in mechanical/machinery maintenance as well as the electrician role they were developed for. The handles design is fabulous but the grips would be better if they were more padded and would not require padded gloves.

these straight jaw pliers are the best pliers I have ever owned the teeth are deeper than other brands and grip with less slip better than other brand the Milwaukee brand are sturdy and well made. I wish I had bought this brand years ago i would have saved a lot of money that I wasted on other pliers. I will be purchasing Milwaukee for all my hand tools from now on

Another quality tool from Milwaukee. I have been replacing a lot of my older tools with Milwaukee brand as they are really well made, well thought out and they work well. Most, like these pliers have comfortable grips and great (metal) coatings. They are offered at a good price at Home Depot as are all of the Milwaukee line. I highly recomment them for the professional as well as the home owner.

For years I’ve wanted to get a larger straight jaw plier set for my tool box. I always had to use my round jaw pliers to do the job that should of been using a straight jaw. These are a very good quality set of pliers . Larger in size then most. But boy can they clamp and hold an object better then those those inferior cheap pairs.I like the rubber covers on the handlers ,really improve the grip!

I have over 40 years of experience working on electrical, plumbing and mechanicalequipment in homes and commercially. During that time I have used many different brands of tools both cheap and expensive. The old saying “You get what you pay for” is real. I have often cheeped out after loosing my expensive tools and regretted it. I remember using some of my grandfather’s Milwaukee tools back in the 60s and 70s. They have alwaysbeen on the top of my list and these tongue and groove pliers are no exception. Tough and smooth operating they will get the job done. This tool is forged and has rust protection. The head has a nice flat edge which is useful for reaming the inside edge of pipe. The serrations on the straight jaws are hardened like the tongue and grooves andwill last forever unless you do something you’re not supposed to. The straight jaws are very useful forobjects with flat surfaces or edging as they will grip better with more surface area. Conversely they arenot the best choice for pipes or round objects. The smooth workingpivot won’t loosen after long usage but may need some oiling with normal operation. Especially if it gets wet but this is normal. The only thing I was not real happy with was the play in the pivot. Not excessive like an inexpensive tool but not as tight as I would have expected from Milwaukee. Being 10 in there is quite a bit of leverage. The grips are cushioned well and considerably soften the squeeze while gripping larger objects. They also stay in place unlike cheap ones My only real complaint is that they are not supplied with a locating gps. But I like to think that I’m getting better in my old age. I try to put everything back immediately after use, because I will have forgotten in five minutes.

I received this pair of pliars and wad impressed right away. The design is solid and high quality and I have to admit I didn’t even notice the built in reaming head which is a nice touch. The tool is light and it feels great in my hands. The mechanics of the tool are solid. They lock right where you need the jaws to be and offers a nice firm grip. This tool will certainly outlast me!

This is one of those tools that you look at and think Quality. The forgings are smooth and jaws operate smoothly. I really appreciate the slimmer ends on the jaws. The advertisement says that they can be used for reaming the inside of pipe. I doubt I will ever use them for that, but the slim jaws make it possible to use the tool in places where a different style wouldn’t fit. Good size for carrying in a tool pouch. They feel good in your hand and I am sure they will last for years of daily use.

Feels durable and strong. Value priced 10-inch straight jaw pliers with 2-inch capacity. Straight jaws with teeth are versatile—useful on round pipes and flat-sided couplings. The jaws are designed for reaming pipes up to 2 inch diameter. Easily adjustable tongue and groove design. Some side play between handles; does not affect performance. Rust resistant finish. It’s too soon to evaluate long term durability. Lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects, not wear. This model (48-22-6210) has dipped handle coatings that cover the ends with no exposed metal tips. For about a dollar more, Milwaukee model (48-22-6310) has over-molded comfort handles with exposed metal ends for reaming pipes and punching cutouts. It’s a matter of user preference. Made in China.

What a difference between the Milwaukee pliers and the house brand. First off I was thoroughly impressed with the heavy weight of the tool. This is solid. The jaws are awesome, I’ve used this tool several times and the only concern I have is the steel and sharpness of the teeth will leave marks with very little effort. Use caution unless it is something where you don’t care if it leaves a mark. I’m replacing all my pliers, needle nose, cutters, with Milwaukee after this. Awesome tool.

I am a fan of these 10 inch straight jaw pliers. I feel like Milwaukee does a great job putting out well made quality products at a good price. These pliers definitely live up to my expectations as usual. The action of these pliers adjust very smoothly and they clamp on firmly. The shape of the handle is very comfortable to work with. This is a great tool.

The feel of the pliers is good and I am able to adjust the pliers easily. The weight is acceptable and I feel I can use them one handed if I need to. The grips are soft and make it easy to handle the tool. I think the jaws are a bit wider than most making it easier to get some energy behind the force motion. I will make them my everyday go to pliers. Recommend them for your work bag.

This is another great Milwaukee tool ! The pliers are well balanced and have comfortable dipped hand grips. They have aggressive teeth for gripping and have a head that allows you to ream pipe. They are heavier than most of my pliers and are well made. These pliers will make a great addition to anyone’s tool box and have a limited lifetime warranty.

Ok, so to start I am a mechanic in a busy shop and try very hard to find the best quality tools on the market in order to make my job easier and more efficient. I have in the last few years become a huge Milwaukee fan and put my hands on as many of their tools as possible. When I saw these traditional adjustable or channel locking pliers I decided to take the jump. I was not disappointed, they are very good quality steel and are a great competitor for the Channellock brand. That being said I am attaching 3 pictures to show you my favorite use I have found for them so far. They are great for removing hose clamps and squeeze clamps of all sizes and have great leverage and the angle on the head is just right for reaching under or around a radiator hose. I have given these pliers a five star review because I really like them and because they are very well made and for their price are very affordable in my opinion. I really like the dipped handle as well they are just right for hands with or without gloves on and can be used for a myriad of jobs as well. The teeth are very well cast and have just the right amount of space and bevel. Now like I said I am rating these five stars and would definitely recommend them, are there better more expensive pliers out there? Yes there are but in my opinion for someone who is a weekend DIY guy or even a experienced mechanic like myself these more than get the job done.
