I was replacings a chrome shower head and needed a set of pliers to remove the old head. I usually place duct tape on the pliers or use a crescent wrench to prevent marring the finish but these smooth jaw pliers worked without any issues. In the past I’ve a used crescent wrench but sometimes they slip if not totally tight. These pliers allow me to control the pressure to remove the old head without marring the finish or slipping. I also like the wide handle ends, other pliers I own are too narrow so the handle ends are too close when I use them.

Absolutely fantastic product. Extremely well made. The handles are made well and do not slip from your hands. Very easy to hold and use. This is perfect for plumbing fixtures where you don’t want to leave any scratches. Previously I had to tape up the jaws of my pliers or wrap the fixtures in cloths which made it difficult. With this tool you can use it as is and it leaves zero scratches. Lifetime warranty!

Great pair of well made 10″ channel lock pliers for your more delicate needs, but where normal leverage is still required. The widest opening where the jaws are still square is approximately 1 5/8″, which is more than enough for most household needs. And the smooth surface means no more wrapping the jaws in electrical tape and then worrying if there’s enough to keep from marring your shiny plumbing fixtures, or not getting a good grip to tighten the fixture enough. They open and close with ease, and adjusting the width was no problem at all. They made swapping out shower heads a breeze.
