This is a good product with acceptable quality. Not sure why it is so hard to find a tape measure with mm scale but happy I found this. So far so good. The only complaint I have is standout is not 9′; it might be if you don’t move at all but it is hard to manage to get anywhere beyond 6-7′.

AUTO LOCK is a great feature. I use a metric tape as it simplifies finding the center of an object (just divide the total metric measurement by two). Having the usual inch tape measurement available provides another option.

Love this tape measure – much better than my old one. Received a slightly different version that what I ordered, as this came metric measurements marked on the lower half of the tape rather than the large quarter inch markings I had really wanted to have. Great quality though, so am keeping it.

Just what I wanted. The self lock and button release works better than my dearly departed 35 year old Bluepoint. Tried others but they all had shortcomings. Only 4 stars because reading the tape with SAE and metric (which I wanted) markings takes a little getting used to.

I really like how easy to read this tape is as well as the self-lock feature. The reason I give it three stars is because the tape split on my first one after about a month of non-professional home use. I liked it so much that I wrote this off as a fluke and bought a second one. This replacement tape measure last about a month as well before the auto-lock feature started to fail. Sometimes the tape stays out, sometimes it retracts like a normal tape measure.The reason I have given it three starts instead on one star is because I called Milwaukee after the second one broke and they put two new tape measures in the mail to me the same day. The customer service was a great experience from the minimal wait time to a very pleasant rep. to immediate satisfactory resolution. I have thousands of dollars of Milwaukee equipment and have never had such issues with any of it. Though it’s a pain, I would still recommend this tape measure based on customer service experience alone!

The tape quality is pretty good after all its by milwaukee. There is just one concern that the autolock causes marks on the tape. When you press the release button the tape retracts and then when you release the button the tape stops after sliding against the autolock brake thing attached to the button. This leaves black line marks on the tape which can be removed using alcohol and cotton, but I think over the time the marking on tape will wear out due to friction
